That he was even willing to do an interview with a progressive publication like the Huffington Post was the first clue. But whatever his motives, Glenn Beck is making his gradual shift away from conservatism apparent for all to see.
And it has some now-former fans hopping mad, especially at sites such as Free Republic and Breitbart, where hes being blasted as opportunistic and shifting with the winds for the sake of gaining Blaze TV carriage on major cable systems, among other allegations. Others focus on his (not as right-wing as some believe) Mormon faith as the driving force.

Saw this a couple of days ago. Too bad. Not really sure who or what got to him, but this is the bottom line.
He needed an identity and a core group of devotees to get his empire off the ground, and now he is big enough that he can switch to being a more generic brand.
LOL. I’m not “hopping mad” about Beck doing anything. He’s been old news for me for a while. The last time I read about him was his blubbering about being nice to illegals, and I just thought he was being silly and muddle-headed.
Well, looks like they’ve cancelled Wilkow.
He’s a Mormon the same as Harry Reid and Mitt Romney. You do the math.
He was always a huckster playing the role that he thought would get him the most money.
I’m not a Glen Beck fan. When I’ve heard his radio show I’ve found it rambling and unfocused and don’t know which one talking is even Beck.
But he had a huge part in the success of the 2010 elections and Scott Walker’s victories when he teamed up with Sarah Palin for rallies.
I’m not going to condemn him.
The simpleminded who move to places like Houston, Austin, El Paso, Fort Worth, and Dallas tend to take sharp turns to the left.
Jackass
So many here snookered
At one point, Beck had an opportunity to stand and be considered a leader in the conservative movement. Sad to see him come to this.
It’s kind of like when you would watch WWF(WWE wrestling). There would be some good guy wrestler, and then all of a sudden he starts turning bad and you totally understand what it’s like to hate this guy you used to cheer for.
Beck has a messiah complex so he is trying to widen his audience by going liberal. This way he can save more souls. He’s pretty much a loon. I skip past his radio show
This is total garbage. Beck is ditching conservatism, really? I find this bashing of him funny, especially mentioning how absent he’s been over the Ferguson issue, since he has been away on vacation this past week. But, I’m sure it’s because he’s no longer a conservative, right?
I listen to him every day and when I have time, I watch his Program. And he is hardly ditching conservatism.
He’s become more preachy...and that gets old and tiring, but he still espouses the same views he has always held to.
Since when is feeding and clothing children (no matter what the circumstances) NOT a conservative ideal?
Since when has promoting peace and calm, when everyone around us WANTS to be divisive and violent, not a Conservative ideal?
I’ll give people that Beck comes across wimpy at times, and I don’t always agree with his views, but I definitely see what he’s saying. WE do not want to be the ones playing into the lefts hands, when it comes to a “revolution” and how to go about fixing this country. History has taught that violence is never the answer.
And as someone who has studied a lot of history, read a lot of books and surrounds himself with a lot of conservatives who know a lot about this country and it’s founding, I give Beck credit and respect for where he stands. He’s not 100% correct on everything, but he has predicted a lot that has come to pass...and continues to push the same mantra against ALL in our government who are corrupt (on BOTH sides).
He has always been a kook.
