As the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson calmed early Friday after nights of protests over the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teen, the question remains: Where's the police officer who pulled the trigger?
Officer Darren Wilson, 28, shot Michael Brown on August 9. The shooting sparked days of violent protests in Ferguson as residents demanded his arrest.
Separate federal and local investigations are under way, and Wilson -- who has received death threats -- has disappeared from public view.
Here's what is known about his whereabouts.
Where is he now?
Few outside Wilson's family and authorities know for sure.
Wilson owns a house in a modest neighborhood about 20 miles from Ferguson. He bought the house shortly after he was divorced last year, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
But several neighbors have told CNN that Wilson left home before his name was released last week.
What are his neighbors saying about his whereabouts?
Not much. Most have shunned reporters' requests for interviews, and some put signs in their yards shooing away journalists....

I’m sure he is in hiding and for good reason.
If he has any sense, a country with no extradition treaty....
TRANSLATION: “Where is Officer Darren Wilson? He should be made available to the rioters immediately! We want to film him being lynched and dragged behind a stolen Escalade.”
This was handle poorly from the beginning. The officer should have come forward and if injured then show it. The governor needs to resign for his actions. The police leadership failed to keep under control outsiders who came in on orders from the DNC front groups. The shooting was justified by the criminal who assaulted the store owner and then the police officer. Open and shut case if not for the lack of leaders in the police and the governorship.
Soon to be on a tropical vacation at Gitmo if Barry and Holder get their way.
Russia? At least he’d be a lot safer there than here.
He should be made available to the rioters immediately! We want to film him being lynched and dragged behind a stolen Escalade.

They could do that - in broad daylight - with cops watching, the action being filmed and some lawyer/shrink will get them off claiming ‘Black Rage’ etc etc etc
Then again, the Gov and DOJ have managed to ‘denut’ the Ferguson and St Louis County PD to where they will be getting shiite handed to them when they try to write a traffic ticket.
‘We’ have managed to embolden those clowns to the point where shooting them will be the only way to stop them.
If he wanted you to know, CNN, I am sure he would tell you.
Since he has not...I think the conclusion is pretty obvious.

Please, CNN, explain how disclosing his location is pertinent to this case?????
He is doing the correct thing: no comment and out of sight. No reason to do otherwise or he ends up a loser when the editing is done.
Hopefully he also put in a call to O’Miera. Hopefully the FOP is prepared to pay the fee. We know that regardless of the facts, Holder is bringing his A team along with the scheme machine in the wings to bend the press.
Well, there’s an army of dishonest, stinking racist, blithering morons out for his head.
So I’m sure he’s hiding his head from the Victim-Americans so they can’t victimize him again.
People are getting bored of Ferguson , CNN is just trying to keep viewers
Yep, need to find their next “Emmanuel Goldstein.”
” as residents demanded his arrest”
I don’t care if the Pope asked for his arrest...or the whole country asked for his arrest. Until they have something to charge him with...substantial evidence...they lawfully can’t arrest him.
Why? Anything he said would be used against him in the court of public opinion — Did he show enough remorse? Did he have severe injuries? Why didn't he answer our question? Why couldn't ha have tasered the gentle giant? The list would go on and on.
I'm sure his attorney told him not to speak in public until after the grand jury has their say.
They would love to lead the lynch mob to him and then transmit it live.
