Hundreds of cops have been ordered to bring their hats and bats helmets and old-school wooden nightsticks to the Rev. Al Sharptons march against police brutality, sources said Thursday.
About 350 officers, some on their days off, were told to report to the Staten Island rally at 6 a.m. Saturday, two hours earlier than usual.

We have no reason to believe there will be any problems. Our only concern is that there will be outsiders coming to cause problems, a police source said.

Sharpton’s just doing what Obama wants him to do.
Did you see this new PSA announcement? I wonder if it’s a borrowed voiceover?

And then there’s this young lady’s sign:

I read an article that talked about local ‘elected officials’ anxious to implement LBJ’s War on Poverty programs again. Then I did a google search and saw articles going back to January. Such a nostalgic spirit in the air.
Sharpton has a boss with an agenda and I won’t be surprised if there is a voter registration booth at his rally. Even Jessie Jackson needs donations now and then.
Liquor stores will have an All you can carry sale on Sat.
When are people going to say enough of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and the rest of the race baiters?
Note to NYPD....Should (perhaps I should have said “when”) things get out of hand, beat the crap out of them and let them know what REAL police do when the shtf, then claim self defense or “I feared for my life”. Maybe if your close enough you can lay a few of Al “The Weasel” Sharpton at the same time. When the dust settles, arrest “The Weasel” for inciting a riot.
Sorry Freepers but I am one who has had ENOUGH.
What case? The strong-armed robbery case against the surviving perp?
Between a cop and Sharpton, I will stand with the cop.
I ALSO recognize the truth that cops DO NOT deserve a free pass in all instances. I have seen plenty of times when they have behaved badly.
1. It looks like Al Sharpton may have dropped the Michael Brown case like a hot potato after the details of that story started to come out.
2. Strange as it may sound, I don't think there will be any problems at Sharpton's rally. For some reason the guy comes across as a true "professional" agitator. I've never heard of any violence at any of the demonstrations he's had related to idiotic causes around New York City.
Is it an all you can loot sale?
Sham-ton should have that printed up as a bumper sticker ...
LOL! So you don’t consider the murders at Freddy’s Fashion Mart in 1995 as “violent”?
Interesting.....
Yes there is, but he wouldn't collect the money that he uses to pay his mortgage if he marched against that.
they’ll be around as long as the victim mentality exists. Once people start working and have responsibilities, these guys no longer matter.
Father God,
In the name of Jesus we come against and dismantle every plan of every foul spirit in Alan Sharpton.
Command him what to say just as you did for Baalam. (Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything great or small to go beyond the command of the Lord my God. Numbers 22:18)
We declare peace, truth and justice, Divine counsel in every civil rights case in this nation. We declare this in Your name, Jesus, because the government rests upon Your shoulders. (For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.Isaiah 9:6)
In Jesus’ name we pray.
Amen.
That didn’t happen at a demonstration, did it?
Isn’t Sharpton supposed to give the eulogy at Brown’s funeral on Monday?
I’m almost positive the thug who burned the place down was part of a rally led by Sharpton.
