Here’s another follow-up to my article about Jim Hoft’s dishonest tactics in promoting his bogus claim that officer Darren Wilson suffered a fractured eye socket in a purported struggle with teenager Michael Brown.
As I pointed out in the earlier piece, Hoft posted a stock image of a CT scan of a fractured eye socket, but apparently erased the words “UNIV OF IOWA” from his copy of the image.
Well, thanks to LGF readers @franklinftw and @loveheylola, I can now remove the word “apparently” from that description, because we have proof that Hoft (or someone who works with him) did indeed alter that CT scan, almost certainly to mislead people into believing it was an image of officer Darren Wilson. (And he was successful in fooling many right wingers, including Ann Coulter.)
A cached version of Hoft’s page at the Internet Archive Wayback Machine captured at 18:08:39 (UTC) on August 19th shows that when Hoft first posted the image, it did contain the words “UNIV OF IOWA.” Here’s a screenshot of the Internet Archive’s cached version:

CNN was one of the first to report that the doctor’s report indicated facial swelling, but no fractures.
Some of the afternoon talkshow hosts missed that and continued to decry the fractured eye socket.
His response should be “ear plugs”

Prediction: At the top and bottom of each hour on the radio that day, the news will open to several seconds of stirring organ music, followed by a report on the funeral.
Would be a wonderful change of pace. rev. al is to deliver the eulogy. Prayers someone changes his heart and/or God or Jesus delivers the words spoken to those at the funeral and rev. al will have no choice but to say the words God or Jesus speaks. Praying for a body take over of rev. al.

LGF has been BS artists for as long as I can remember. Sorry, but I’m not reading their wordplay contortions anymore.

The authorities owe the public just a little clarity by a confirmation or denial of this rampant rumor, given they were willing to describe in a press conference the victim’s hand wound and gun shot entry points.
Apparently Officer Williams did not suffer a blown eye socket, a reason I, for one, attributed to him for an “excessive” number of shots needed to fell the guy, because the officer perhaps couldn’t see if he was striking Brown, until he fell.
This is a damaging development for defending the number of shots used to land the victim.
With all the investigation and a reported 40 FBI investigating would think marksmanship is being investigated too. Don’t know it to be true but perhaps Officer Wilson is an expert with a handgun?
