Mitt Romney and his former running mate, Paul Ryan, will be making their first public appearance together since losing to Obama/Biden two years ago. Ryan is traveling the country to promote a book and is also said to be considering a run for the White House himself.
Romney will interview Ryan Thursday night on stage at the Union League Club of Chicago.
Ryan's book has met some criticism given its handling of the immigration issue - which is increasingly being exposed as a stone cold loser of an issue in the very mid-term elections Ryan suggested it be used by GOP candidates. Romney, as well as some of his staff, reportedly cooperated with Ryan on the book.
"Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) suggested that Republican candidates in this year's midterm elections should run on granting a pathway to citizenship for all of the country's illegal immigrants."

Medved is a douchebag through and through. I’ve called his show a number of times, just to argue with him and piss him off.
He’s a typical RINO.
Mitt the $hit will never enter the WHite Hut as anything but a janitor. We need an Eisenhower, not a cower flower.
lemme guess, wonderboys plan will make 20 million invaders into instant, voting citizens today, and we'll get a windfall for the fed coffers in 15-37 years and all be better off ???
All the more reason to nip this whole idea of Ryan succeeding in the run for the big chair...
But alas, our primary system is bent on producing mediocrity, political moderation, and eventual feckless virtues that are careening us off the cliff of no return...
Combine that with favorable voting bases in these first states that vet out the political extremes (their opinions) in their primaries and force the perpetual doom of mediocrity on the rest of us when it becomes our time to choose on “what is left” of the field...
I see the same ole BS being foisted upon us this next go around...
But hey, what do I know...
Ryan will be the GOP nominee in 2016. He’s the heir apparent, a Republican tradition: you can see Reagan, Bush 41, Dole, McCain and Romney’s nominations. 2016 will be Ryan-Paul-Perry. Ryan will be favored by the establishment and eventually win the nomination. Paul will have problems with Iraq and his foreign policy and Perry will be supported by many conservatives but as the anti-Ryan vote will be divided, Ryan will get the nomination.
Sorry Jim, but did you ever understand the amnesty as Mitt and Ryan purpose. A great solution rather than nothing and it is impossible to send 20 million back across the border. It was a very long and lengthy process but really the only solution if one was looking for a real solution to a growing problem.
Ill posit this as an obituary for the 2012 Campaign.
Mitt Romney lost because more than anything else, the public
viewed him as an out of touch rich 1 percenter. When a person runs for the Presidency, one needs to have some sort of bond with the Common man. Romney made absolutely no attempt to do this. He shunned the Tea Party, and he ran his campaign like a Corporate Boardroom out of Boston.
Any strategist worth their salt wouldve told him he needed to get out among the regular folks
..Sarah Palin is the opposite of this. She is arguably, the
greatest Retail politician in America. She holds court at
Barbeques, slopping down chow and chatting with everyday people. This is what shes most comfortable doing
..
When you run for the Presidency, and people have a pre-conceived notion of who you are, you need to break that, if it is going to hurt your campaign Romney did not do this. There was a poll done right after the election. It asked who was more in touch with the Middle Class. Obama beat Romney like 80% to 18%.
You WILL NOT win a Presidential election with that kind of
lopsided margin.
People on here fault Romney for not reaching out to the Tea
Party, and people like Palin
there is a reason we feel that way.
It is called a smart campaign strategy. He did not want to
neutralize the perception people had of him.
Conversely, if Palin were to run, she would need to vanquish
the perception that she is a dumb hick. Something tells me
she would turn that on its head real quick
.but we may
never know
..she had 24,000 emails published that showed
her to be a smart chief executive
.to me, THOSE are her
greatest weapon if she were to run.
