The State Department downplayed comments from Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) leaders that they are at war with America, arguing that their violence is not directed at any particular country or race.
At a briefing Thursday, a reporter brought up anti-American comments from ISIL leaders: “I mean, even they are announcing, ISIL people in their message, whatever, the recorded message, other messages, that now we are in a war with America.”
“This is not about ISIL versus the United States,” State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf objected. “They are killing anyone who gets in their way: Sunnis, Shia Muslims, Christians, Yazidis, Iraqis, Syrians, anyone who gets in their way — and now an American.”
“So this is not about what the United States is or isn’t doing,” Harf continued. “This is about ISIL stated a commitment to murder, rape, enslave people who don’t agree with their ideology and who get in their way.”
“But they are announcing that it’s a war against America,” the reporter pressed. “Right or wrong, that’s what they are saying.”
Harf maintained, “Well, they can say whatever they’d like, but what I am making clear is that’s not what ISIL represents. And they don’t represent any religion. They are at war with everybody they come into contact with.”
Deny deny as the mushroom cloud wafts over DC.
They are a “non State entity”...we can’t be at war with them.
Which allows greater leeway in wiping them out.
When someone says they are going to kill you, its not a good strategy to reply “I dont belive you.”

These idiots are even nuttier than I had imagined.
The new Orwellian narrative is that you have to acknowlege a declaration of war for it to exist, otherwise you can just shrug it off.
Maybe if they pull their collective head out of their butt they could see more clearly.
They think denial is a river in Africa.
But really, they are giving BO an out to attack them. America is in favor of it after Foley. And what do they do...cater to the Code Pink crowd...
It is also not a good strategy to put a numbskull idiot in charge of the state department. Or to elect a president that has a soft spot in his heart for radical islam 9 years after 9/11/01. But here we are.

The ones caught in the middle are Palestinian Catholics. Our Steve/Janet Ray tour guide in Jerusalem (2011) was an Arab Palestinian Roman Catholic.
He had a very large extended family of the same. They own and operate many businesses (gift shops, restaurants, etc.) over there.

Steve Ray was an evangelical Baptist minister who believed that all Catholics were going to hell. Being the good man that he is, he wanted to save us.
SO, he had to find out all about Catholicism. He and his wife read about the Church for a year.
At the end of a year, one night, he and his wife were weeping and Steve Ray said: "Oh no, we're CATHOLICS!!"
The entire Ray family converted and Steve and Janet take Americans on three or four tours a year to the Holy Land. BEST TOUR I ever took. My Presbyterian Texas friend came with me. We had a ball.
Ray, from his Protestant background, was able to regale us with CHAPTER and VERSE throughout the tour.

The following are two of my most memorable moments on that memorable tour.
1. We were standing in the EXACT spot of the Transfiguration of Jesus...a high spot overlooking a magnificent desert valley.
I still think of that moment when I say the 4th mystery of the Luminous Mysteries of the Holy Rosary...as in TODAY, a Thursday.
2. I placed my already blessed rosary on the Tomb of Jesus. We were allowed to do that. I say a rosary every day with that same rosary.
