As I'm writing this, people are in the streets in Ferguson, Missouri for the sixth night in a row. Journalists are being threatened and detainednot arrested, so, God forbid, they will not have their day in court and force some semblance of legal reckoningand therefore kept from performing their duties. These are duties which are, remember, firmly and unequivocally protected by the very first amendment to this country's supreme law.
Amnesty International, the human rights organization normally found in war zones like Gaza and near terrorist organizations such as ISIS, have dispatched observers to Ferguson, their first time ever doing so in the United States. This is not a move they make lightly; they didn't do it in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and they didn't do it after the L.A. riots. Its done now because they recognize that human rights are being violated.
Acts of despotism are being carried out, by a mostly white militarized police force, upon a mostly black, mostly lower class populace. When our President addressed the situation in Missouri today, cutting short his vacation in part to do so, he said that the people of Ferguson should be calm and stifle the small minority who are undermining the peaceful protests with their violence.

We are not responsible for our own success-”You didn’t build that”- but we are responsible for the failures of others. Shah, the oxymoron that is liberal logic!
No, no, the author is right. White people are terrible. Cops are terrible. In fact, they are sooo bad that blacks should live completely apart from them and have their own society and police force. Seems like a good plan.
I meant Aahh. The Shah had nothing to do with it!
All Liberals and Democrats are Complicit in the Warzone that has Become Ferguson, Missouri
The dems/libs 50 year failed war on poverty is a big reason this crap is happening but this author, like spoiled children, would rather blame everyone but themselves.

hundreds of thousands perhaps several million.
Since the War on Poverty began almost 50 years ago perhaps
5 million?
If the majority of newsmen/women were more truthful, maybe they’d get more respect. OH, and this is not my fault nor anyone in my circle of friends and acquaintances. We’re too busy working.
There are REALLY going to be riots when the news gets out about the St Louis cops killing the guy robbing the store with a spear today!
He has on too much lipstick.

I’m not complicit-—I won’t even read the article.
.
I did not build THAT.
Conservatives need to go load up those comments. I’ve done mine.
Uh, no - they have become emboldened because a fellow traveler occupies the White House.
This is liberalism at its very worst. The perps are not responsible. Everyone else not involved is responsible. Could the world be turn upside down more than this?
Go piss up a rope, James.
IsQueer is not the go-to magazine for fashion. IsQueer is the go-to magazine for uberleftist- and homosexual- agenda.
Zactly. Reminds me of a Monty Python sketch where they are arresting a murderer, and he says, "I admit it all, but society's to blame." and the cop responds, "RIGHT, we'll arrest them instead!"
A black guy makes a list of very bad choices with predictable outcomes and its everyone’s fault? That’s a laugh. Like tear gas being called a chemical weapon. Talk about hyperbole.
