I don’t think I’ve seen more people talk about, share the news of, or inquire about someone’s banning as his. He must have been universally reviled.

Usually when someone is banned, at least a few of his FRiends speak up about it. Blather on about how “FR isn’t the same anymore” or “Jim’s on another purge”.

Nothing like that with this guy.

Seriously, is there anyone who is sad he’s gone? Even a little?

To be honest, I have no idea who the guy is and don’t recall running into him on the threads I frequent. I used the FR search function to answer the question about whether or not he’d been banned, and why. Looks like good shootin’ by Jimrob.

-- He [Uncle Chip] must have been universally reviled. --

I don't think so. I "know" him from many contacts relating to the lynching of Zimmerman by the press, and IIRC, a couple other issues or incidents. He struck me as well informed and reasonable. Not always correct (none of us is), but operated from multiple pieces of input data.

In this case, my barely informed impression is that he was taken as a "devil's advocate", biased against the shooter.

So, put me on the list of people who are sad he is gone.

Uncle Chip apparently didn't practice discretion in his participation.

He was a good guy during the Zimmerman Wars. Hammered the TV defenders and the silly prosecution.

Something changed with this shoot.

Did he have a stroke that affected his mind? Alcohol? Something?

I don’t know but he did go bonkers defending rev shar/jesse jacksons/big mike on this subject.
