Strange day where I announce the passing of one so great (Mr. Pardo) and one so small (jumpin' jim).
You can hear Pardo’ announcing on some radio shows from the late 40’s and early 50’s.
Is he still dead?

There was always a lilt in his voice (even in the serious reels) that was welcoming.
>>Is he still dead?<<
That was Genralissimo Fransisco Franco.
96 good years is a heck of a run. RIP.
He’s as dead as disco.
It was breaking news the first time around.
I first remember Don from Jeopardy....
Anyone remember original host
Art....
I know search is my friend... sometimes it yields few results.
Abuse this to the mods if it is already posted. It was a few minutes after I got the alert.
Art Fleming, For $1000.00!
Art Fleming, for $1000.00.
He was the first host of Jeopardy... Who was Art Fleming? CORRECT :-) I remember Don Pardo from the old TV game shows and the first SNL episodes, always seemed to have a good ense of humor. RIP Mr. Pardo
Art Fleming!
Yes, SNL will just not be the same without that guy. And imagine, he's been "The Voice" since 1975.
Back when he was a mere pup of 57.
Honestly, I always wondered if he had any clue of who he was announcing.
Did he keep up with the "youngsters"?
Did he really know when he announced: "Musical guests: Toad the Wet Sprocket"?
But I'm sure he got the innuendoes.
"Weekend Update is brought to you by Hershey Highway: the taste that's been turning America over for 50 years!"
One of the few blatantly "dirty" intros that got past the censors.
I’m giving up, Don Pardo. Just tell me now what I didn’t win.
RIP, Don Pardo (said in a big voice!)

Gabriel, please tell our contestant what his parting gifts are.
Mr. Pardo, you’ve won an all expenses paid trip to final judgement, the game show where you stand to win big or lose everything.
Thank you for playing.
