The Justice Department’s chief peacekeeper is on his way to embattled Ferguson, Mo.
Usually, Grande H. Lum flies under the radar. As head of the department’s Community Relations Service, the Harvard Law School graduate is an experienced mediator, more diplomat than prosecutor. The agency he heads was established under the 1964 Civil Rights Act, with the stated mission to aid communities “in resolving disputes, disagreements, or difficulties relating to discriminatory practices based on race, color, or national origin which impair the rights of persons in such communities.”
“These officials will continue to convene stakeholders whose cooperation is critical to keeping the peace,” Attorney General Eric Holder said.
It’s a small agency, with an annual budget of about $12 million. As the agency notes in its most recent annual report, its mediators have been involved in some of the hottest disputes in the nation’s history, from the Civil Rights movement to the 2012 Trayvon Martin shooting in Florida.
In 2012, the agency completed 728 cases. “Tensions over hate incidents or crimes” accounted for many of the cases; a total of 67 dealt with “police-community relations.”
In Springfield, Mo., that year, for instance, the mediators presented an “Arab, Muslim, and Sikh Cultural Awareness Program” following a hate incident at a local Islamic Center....

Last night they were talking about some blacks keeping the lid on things. That sure lasted about ten minutes.
I don’t know what to make of it. Last week they were saying the black community didn’t want this to escalate. Now look at it. And the idiotic rhetoric coming out of the community after this kids true nature was revealed.
I would like to think the nation has had enough, but the black community just lies it’s ass off. I can’t take responsibility any better than Obama can.
Honestly, this is a very embarrassing time to be black in America. Their president is a F-ing traitor sellout idiot. Their kids are a lost generation for the most part.

Not to take blame away from the rioters and looters, but do you know how many THOUSANDS of professional, semi-professional and amateur rabble-rousers there are there in Ferguson now? The list goes from the DoJ (several units), Amnesty International, Code PINK, Socialists, many unions, the KKK, the Black Panthers, rappers, Daily Kos, MoveOn, International ANSWER, Michael Moore, the NAACP, the ACLU, etc., etc. I’ll bet they outnumber the reporters, and that’s saying something!!

A.N.S.W.E.R. and their ilk accepted, some of those groups shouldn’t be able to look themselves in the mirror. The NAACP is a sham organization. They’re not out to help blacks improve their lives. They want blacks on the plantation as much as any white ever has.

Yes, I know who they are. I’ve been on scene of some of their massive marches here in Los Angeles.
Several times I watched as they filled four lanes wide for about 20 to 30 minutes as they walked by.
