BACK TO SCHOOL
By Naval Support Activity Chapel Staff
A child came home from his first day of school. His mother asked, What did you learn today? He said, Not enough. I have to go back tomorrow.
Going back to school is always difficult for both teachers and students. It also means more traffic with school buses back on the road; probably the only ones delighted about schools reopening are the parents. Going back to school can be a milestone. Kindergarten, sixth grade, high school and college are all significant marks of progress and change (especially when the kid finally gets a job!). For parents, these can be good times to reflect -- and perhaps to set new goals. It is good to reflect on memories of your kids growing up, and how proud you are of who they are becoming. It is also important to understand what they will need next as they grow and develop. An important goal is not only to ensure that they learn reading, writing and arithmetic, but also that they learn about God as well. The Bible tells us to train and teach our children in the ways of God (Proverbs 22:6 and Ephesians 6:4). One great way to do this is to take them to church.

LOL! Too cute, and what a tease.
Good morning, moose, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
We had rain last night and maybe again tonight.
Have you had a good summer? Any traveling?

The floor must be covered in drool under that Dog.
Summer was Hot whilst it lasted ,the tropical storm we had last week appears to have ended Summer. The Cool Overcast is back.
But it is only August, September normally brightens up again.
He says hopefully. Going back up to Yorkshire for a week at the end of September, then hopefully back down to Canterbury for a week.
Just need to remember to book the accommodation earlier this year,Ahem. :)
Have a Blessed Lords Day ,Kathy

“...A little problem with accommodations ....”
Um...let's just say it was a close run thing. d:o)
Luckily we use the hotel group a lot and had accrued enough points on the reward scheme for a free up-grade on the room. Phew.
“BOOK NOW!!”
Will have to wait until Tuesday, but you're right. Pull thumb out! :)
Yorkshire is an acquired taste.
Areas of incredible beauty mixed with areas of Earth shattering dullness in the south of the county.
North Yorks is the best.
