Ferguson police released a report today detailing a robbery before the fatal shooting last week of 18 year-old Michael Brown. Chief of police Jackson held a press conference early Friday morning.
Here is a copy of the report on the Ferguson convenience story robbery.
Michael Brown was 6′ 4″ and 292 pounds.

Toxicology tests can be instant (for some, like alcohol, to weeks for some prescription drugs and poisons. Mostly, I am thinking they fast tests they will do will be for pot, liquor, heroin, etc.
No kid this age is smoking “swisher” cigars. At least not by the case. Generally, these are used for making blunts. My guess is a search of his home, and his hommie’s homes would result in the discovery of a large amount of pot. But I would guess that ship has already sailed.
The investigation is going to take several days before any thing preliminary. They probably won’t release much before the grand jury hears it. So, think months.
Good thing school is starting soon. All of these kids will be off the streets at night. //sarcasm

Very true
Not very good English.
I had difficulty understanding him but did make out the name of the store. Marble mouth diction.
I did see a better picture after I posted that.
Is that a gang signal?
Yes.
Dead perp, face down in a white Tee shirt. No blood or holes on the back of his shirt.
Do the math, it isn’t rocket surgery.
The only known witness that claimed he had his hands up, turned out to be involved in the robbery.
The cop was treated for injuries at the hospital.
These are all known facts.
“Smearing all cops as evil is just wrong and stupid.”
Agreed. The “man bites dog” stories always bring the headlines. OTOH, the militarization of law enforcement has gotten way out of hand. When you see your local cops dressed up as modern day storm troopers it is hard to not be uneasy.
Doesn’t matter what you steal. Stealing is stealing unless it’s to survive. Cigars, no.
If he’s same skin color it doesn’t matter what crime he commits ; especially it’s high treason.../s
The Chief of Police states the officer contacting Brown did NOT know about the robbery. He was contacted for walking in the middle of the street blocking traffic.
And you saw this up close? You saw him without his shirt on? Because, shirts never move. Especially size 4X on a big guy like this. Nope, I want to read an autopsy report with firearm forensics—where the did the bullets go, and where did they enter, and from what angle.
And where did I suggest the cop wasn’t hurt. I am willing to bet he got the crap kicked out of him. I think that’s why the kid got shot. It makes sense to me.
I reiterate that I don’t care about eyewitnesses. They all have a dog in the fight. Show me some evidence. A fuzzy picture from a phone taken a hundred yards away is not good reliable evidence. You know that.
What I am suggesting is that choosing sides on this one is not easy. It would be nice to get some facts other than:
The kid appears to be a thug, robbing a store.
The cop gets the kid into the car.
The kid beats the crap out of the cop in the car.
The kid moves away from the car.
The cop shoots the kid.
I know there doesn’t seem to be a lot of white space between those lines, but there is a whole lot of story missing here. The forensics will tell us the story.
They will tell us:
Was a shot fired in the car
How bad was the cop hurt
How did the kid get out of the car
Which was was the kid facing when he was shot
How many times was he shot
What was the angle of the bullets entering and exiting the body (if they exited)
What damage in the body was caused.
These things will tell us whether the kid was facing or away. They will tell us if the kid was kneeling or standing. They will tell us if his hands were up or down.
I don’t need a video, and I dont need an eyewitness to tell me these things.
Its physics and chemistry.
I am willing to wait until we get real answers. Not demands or “rocket surgery” whatever that is.
I am willing to wait for indisputable facts.
Why aren’t you?
On top of that, I want blood work on the cop. Are there anti anxiety meds? Adderal? Steriods?
My theory is the kid beat the crap out of the cop, tried to take the cops gun and it discharged. I think the kid freaked out and ran. I think the cop pulled himself out of the car, yelled at the kid, “Stop or I will shoot” while he pulled the trigger as a result of the rush of adrenaline that was pumping through his system.
But that is speculation on my part, connecting dots of a story that I have no further evidence on. It is just as valid a speculation as anyone else on these threads. And by valid, I mean bullshit.
It's coming....but from what's there so far it does seem to point that the kid was not angelic as his family and the black community is painting him. The more they attempt to do this, rather than let the evidence come out..the more guilty they look that they're covering for who they knew him to be otherwise. I also think that the standards in a black community are far different then those outside a black community. ....Pot smoking and brawls may very well be 'natural daily life' for many and accepted as part of that particular culture....many don't seem to have much emotional control and drama is daily life for them.
I have it in a section 8 house they plopped in our neighborhood. They are clueless on basic consideration for your neighbors....domestic fights end up in the street at all hours...teenagers coming and going all hours of day and night...police cars consistently being called there.
I honestly think that the police are an 'expected' role in their day to day drama...wouldn't be complete for them without police showing up so they can tell their stories of how bad the other guys are they're fighting with.
I am certainly getting an up front education on how these people live...and it isn't pretty by any means.
However if you did you would only be wrong about 1 out of 10 times. Great odds even in Poker.
“A fuzzy picture from a phone taken a hundred yards away is not good reliable evidence. You know that.”
It looks to be a forensics photo taken at the scene after the cops roped it off. It is a pretty close photo.
Experience does that.
