Nearly a week after a police officer shot and killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., police on Friday identified the officer as Darren Wilson.
Wilson is a six-year veteran of the Ferguson police with no disciplinary record, Ferguson police chief Thomas Jackson said at a news conference on Friday morning.
Jackson provided few other details about Wilson at the news conference and did not take any questions. He said that Wilson had been responding to a call shortly before noon on Saturday when there was a 911 call regarding a strong-arm robbery at a convenience store.
A description of a possible suspect was given over the radio, saying this person was walking toward the QuickTrip convenience store in Ferguson. An incident report handed out by police on Friday labeled Brown as a suspect in the convenience store robbery, which involved the theft of some Swisher Sweets cigars.
Wilson left the call he had been responding to and encountered Brown on Canfield Drive at 12:01 p.m., Jackson said.
Police also released these stills depicting a confrontation between Brown and a convenience store worker:

You should have seen the reaction in the elevator when one of my black friends called me a "Kreepy Azz Kracka" a few months ago! lol
The one depicted is in the St. Louis police force with eight years experience.
The Darren Wilson in question was employed by the Ferguson police force for the past six years.
What’s ‘AA’s’ ?.....................

My jaw dropped when I saw Byrd refer to a "white Negro".
It was like when some rep, from Texas I think, (Dick Army?) referred to Barney Frank as Barney Fag.
He tried to quickly recover, but it was too late.
They are now saying the police made up the robbery and everything about Michael Brown being bad is a fabrication.

One of the eye witnesses was reported as his accomplice during the convenience store robbery.
Yes I’m sure he was a very unbiased witness
“The police report goes on to state that surveillance video from the store shows Brown and Dorian Johnson, an eyewitness to Browns death, entering the store before Brown hands the pack of Swisher Sweets to Johnson.”

Too many eyewitnesses sympathetic to the dead guy have spoken out; the cop would have been identified as such by now if he was.
This assumes that the eyewitnesses really were eyewitnesses.
Yup. In this case “witnesses” seem to be lying accomplices to the robbery/assault and people “coming forward” after the fact who were not even there and who are just lying and making things up.
Are you sure that’s the same Darren Wilson? The one in Ferguson who shot that kid apparently had served as an officer for only 6 years—the one on the ESOP that you linked to has a lot more experience.
Every photo I have seen of him, he is wearing the Bloods’ red gang color, so that would make sense.
Yes. Maybe the sperm donor instilled the values that propelled Mr. Brown into the academic society in which he was engaged to attend before this tragic event.
I wonder what poets influenced Mr. Brown most? Snoop Dog?
Whoever that was.......................
and Sargent, York
:)
Well he might as well get ready for 10 to 20 in prison. Eric Holder will see to that. And, he’ll be charged with the catch-all when you kill a black thug; he’ll he charged with violating the “civil rights” of the 18 year old man, who will called a “black child” a thousand times a day on CNN and PMSNBC.
You win the internets!
You are baaaaaaaad.............................LOL!.................
Ghetto culture should be mercilessly ridiculed.
You know, the self-deception and outright denial in some black communities is getting out of control.
What’s next? “That man isn’t Brown!” Or, “That’s a fake tape the cops made!”
It’s sick really. And it needs to stop.
