My guess is they will laugh, but they will not be in a position to act any more swiftly on the appeal than on any other appeal. If the statute doesn’t have time provisions in it, there is nothing they can do. They can’t legislate time deadlines from the bench, and they can’t give his case priority over others that are in front of them. His point is valid, but it needs to be taken up with the legislature.
