Former Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul (R-Texas) thinks the threat of the Ebola virus very well may be a government plan to "deceive" the public. "I do know that governments deceive us and sometimes they hype things. I don't think we are going to see in the next year a horrendous breakout of Ebola in this country," Paul said in a recent video on the topic, according to a press release sent out Thursday morning by his "Voices of Liberty" project.
Paul, "a former physician," offered the chemical DDT as a "viable alternative for treatment," as the release put it.

Not only that, for some reason he thinks DDT is a treatment for Ebola. No clue where he got that from.
Wow he’s really lost it.
Governments lie and the bigger the governments the bigger the lies. That’s a fact Jack whether or not the Ebola thing is hyped.
You’re a candidate for the cattle pen if you don’t realize that.
Our founders deeply distrusted governments and created what was supposed to be a limited, small government. It’s hard to imagine any “conservative” not getting this.
He got that idea from the premise that the pathogen, being transmissible by bodily fluids, may be carried by mosquitos and other biting insects. DDT treats those. QED.
Of course governments lie, and the fact that NOTHING about what they are reporting about EBOLA makes sense, is a sign that it is BS.
The mosquito link with Ebola hasn’t been proven or disproven according to my quick google search. However, several health organizations say it cannot be spread by mosquitos. Haven’t found any research links, just statements.
“Of course governments lie....”
.
And we vote for the people that run government.
Woe is us.
Not only that, for some reason he thinks DDT is a treatment for Ebola. No clue where he got that from.

You know .... he’s confused Ebola with malaria. For a doctor, that’s a pretty serious mistake.
From article:
“There is no evidence that DDT or organic phosphates, both of which are insecticides, would treat Ebola or control its spread. DDT’s usefulness in combating Malaria was due to its ability to control mosquitoes carrying the disease. Ebola, in contrast, is transmitted through bodily fluids.”
Rand Paul is right. Governments do deceive and our govt is one of the worst right now. So far no ebola in the US but the govt is letting everyone obsess over it. 30,000 to 40,000 people die in the US every year from the regular flu.
I dunno Ron ... how about some ... FACTS!
So tired of “people say” or “we all know” or “I have heard” etc. It’s all propagandist clap trap.
I think Paul’s training in Ophthalmology gives him a perfect base to comment on virology and government conspiracy. I wait in anticipation of the next Paul revelation, perhaps next he will reveal that all of our problems are because of the Greys.
What I find stunning is the large number of morons in here that seem to consume every lie the government/media complex feeds them. I’ve watched so many cycles blow through here whether a it’s bird flu, swine flu, climate change, etc, where a shocking number of freepers swallow the story line (ie propaganda) hook, line & sinker. I almost feel embarrassed for them.
Isn’t Ron Paul an OB-GYN?
One of Ron Paul’s rare rational moments.
Or at least near rational. It’s not the government hyping the Ebola threat but MSM and apocalypse pushers.
He’s referring to the possibility that the Ebola virus is harbored in insects.

In any event, I think it’s a little premature to draw conclusions about Paul’s sanity on the basis of this issue.
Omy gosh your right, father and son are sounding so much alike now for some reason my brain replaced Ron with Rand. Thanks.
Take two spoonfuls of DDT and call me in the morning.
I remembered him talking about how many thousand babies he’s delivered.
