Stories From The Battlefield: Hamas Tunnels Used To Target Israel’s Kindergartens
Dailycaller.com ^ | 7-27-2014 | Mordecai Ben-Menachem

The attack was meant to generate as many as ten thousand casualties, men, women and particularly children and hundreds of captives. Explosives were particularly placed underneath kindergartens to make certain that these “institutions” would be the first struck, even before any thing else.

The known cost of the infrastructure – each tunnel costs upward of some $1 million – clearly shows that Hamas was planning a coordinated mega-attack. It must be understood that use of even one tunnel would inevitably trigger Israeli retaliation against the entire network

This article was published on the 27th of July. I don't recall the main stream media even talking about this. Maybe they missed it. Aren't we supporting the Palestinians by giving them $500 million per year? Hmmmmm!!!! Maybe after the media is made aware of this they will be nicer to Israel.

That is sarcasm right?

The MSM knows about this and doesn’t care.

If I were in command, and they blew up kindergartens, it would have been fuel-air bombs over Gaza, consequences be damned.

Yes! this is dripping sarcasm. It is my understanding that since this fighting has started with Hamas Israel has withstood 3000 rocket attacks.

That would suck the fight out of them, along with the air from their lungs and the lungs out of their mouths....

Fuel air bombs can do some NASTY things...

In some ways worse than a small nuke is a big fuel air bomb....

Hence my suggestion... the punishment would fit the crime.

I’ve read that 40% of their budget was spent on those tunnels.

Fuel air bombs can do some NASTY things...especially INSIDE of the tunnels. No safe radius there.

Having seen the Left in Israel rally around Netanyahu just for rockets, I can only imagine the kind of support he would get from all sides of the political spectrum if they had blown up a few kindergartens. It would have been political suicide, if not real suicide, to have said one word in support of Gaza. It would have been scorched earth times ten.

Regrettably, that was the goal of the tunnels in the first place.

Hamas goal was to create an atrocity so vast and heinous that it spread terror and chaos in Israel and the Israeli government would have been forced to respond with overwhelming force. in the Gaza, resulting in tens of thousands of civilian casualties.

This attack was scheduled for September 24 of this year.

Gaza would have been all but leveled by the Israeli response.

The Hamas attack was most likely intended to ignite a general war with the Arab world united against Israel. Hamas, ISIS , Al -Qaeda, and the Muslim Brotherhood are one and the same, they just go by different names and much of Hamas is made up of foreign fighters who have traveled to Gaza for Jihad

o The death and destruction in Gaza would have mobilized the entire Arab world to attack Israel

While the Arab states were preoccupied with an all out war with Israel, Muslim Brotherhood terror groups such as ISIS would have used the crisis and the resulting chaos to make their moves in places like Iraq, Syria and Libya.

The timing of ISIS invasion into Iraq to get a foothold and the plunder of American weapons in Iraq to equip ISIS was potentially timed to prepare the battlefield and to coincide with Hamas’s Gaza tunnel terror offensive in late September .

Things have also been heating up in Libya and Afghanistan.

If this plan had unfolded in such a way, a general war between the Arab states and Israel would have left Israel, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and probably Lebanon in flames with their respective military forces devastated and with vastly depleted ammunition, supplies and with their air forces destroyed or out of action.

The ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood forces, well equipped with plundered American weapons from Iraq along with ammo, supplies and spare parts and the full support from Qatar and possibly Saudi Arabia could have ended up one of the most powerful military forces in the region and in control of much of the Middle East, and especially Syria and Iraq which are already teetering on the brink of defeat by ISIS.

Fortunately, the tunnel ploy can only work once, at most.

Inside a tunnel a barrel of gasoline with a tiny leak and a lit cigarette would do wonders.

If I were Israel, I would keep these tunnels intact and use them to my advantage in the future.

Put sensors in them and when the Hamas terrorists enter - flood them like rats
