On Tuesday #Anonymous released the private information of St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar and his wife and children.
The group posted a link to the information in a tweet.

Exactly. The vast majority of society has become spineless and no longer stands up for what is right. Instead, they bend over on command.
The mob mentality will jump on this.
Remember the graffiti written on a way in the area, “The only good cop is a dead cop.”
It would be too much of a pain to go back over the thread and post in the “to” field all the names of the posters who have decided the cop who shot the “innocent unarmed child” have decided the cop is guilty so I added “all”
Sharpton and Jackson mentality.
I must have missed the trial and verdict.
on a WALL in the area...
Nice. Nothing like a little dose of ISIS tactics to demonstrate the righteousness of your cause.
I can be outraged at both of them. Neither is right. The jack-booted thugs don’t need protecting, but the innocent families who did nothing, do. and generally, as in the riots, looting, and acts of “justice”, it’s people who have absolutely nothing to do with the incident who are made to pay. because it’s not “justice” these savages are after, it’s another opportunity for a license to steal and create mayhem. If they were so concerned with their poor little honor students and future rocket scientists being killed, they’d be outraged at the many, many occurrences of it which happen every day in the “hood”.
I don’t think that targeting their families will attain justice, anymore than the ferals who loot and destroy businesses are seeking “justice”. They are just exercising their affirmative action right to redistribute the wealth of innocent people, and destroy what they can’t steal.
Right. The “Anonymous” cowards don’t deal with the problem themselves, they try to incite others to deal with it, when it comes to actual physical encounters, and they don’t care if they drag innocent children into the middle to be harmed either. Anyone who thinks no one would harm an innocent child has already forgotten the two thugs who shot an infant in the face because his mother had nothing for them to steal.
“Police officers are not anonymous and targeting their families is not acceptable.
I think your attitude really crosses the line of acceptability in a civil society.”
agree completely.
Shame on you.
.
Indeed, you have identified the root cause of the problem - police officers working day to day in a world gone crazy where something as seemingly innocent and trivial as telling a couple of teens to stop walking in the middle of the street can escalate into a life or death confrontation in a heartbeat. The tragedy's that happened to Mr Brown is a symptom of that much larger root cause problem we collectively face as a nation in this day and age |
Thank you for those comments.
I wonder why so many expect our police forces in America to be little more than Sheriff Taylor and Officer Friendly when in fact our culture and our society is fast becoming a composite of Ferguson, MO. If anything, I wonder why there aren't MORE cops shooting dogs and flash-banging babies and grand-ma's; given the overall condition of the USA.
I'm not condoning any rogue behaviour of any LEO's here. I'm simply commenting on the parallel between the free-fall of culture and the natural result to donut munchers everywhere.
It is coming to pass that the police officers are indistinguishable from the rest of the predators.
The posting of names and addresses to incite violence against police for the actions of one officer makes as much sense as going after Brown’s family in response to rioting.
We don’t have the facts but everyone just wants to pour gas on the fire.
Doesn’t anyone think independently anymore?
The herds on both sides are out of control.
My son briefly toyed with the idea of being a police officer.
I begged him not to.
It is a dangerous and thankless job.
I also toyed with the idea.
I decided not to because every vocation has a culture, and you will become like the people in that vocation.
Seems to me this is nothing but infighting on the left.
We don't have anything to do with Anonymous, or the ones screeching for revenge.
Though I must admit, making the police more identifiable would seem to give them reason to be more circumspect in the performance of their duties.
I don’t think the Sheriff’s Deputy who lives across the street from me is “anonymous”...he parks his squad car on the street, wears his uniform to and from work, etc.
He and his family have done nothing to harm me or mine...in fact, they are rather good, but a tad shy neighbors of mine. He does his job well and I don’t see where he has made any attempt to put himself above those who he serves.
Why should I be glad if their personal information is made public?
Why isn’t their family entitled to some privacy? Are they not US citizens entitled to enjoy the same rights the rest of us claim?
Though I must admit, making the police more identifiable would seem to give them reason to be more circumspect in the performance of their duties.

This is true. And as many suggest on the many ‘cop shoots dog’ threads that when dog owners start shooting the cops that shoot their dogs.....
Things might change.
Maybe so but now is not the time. It’s not about accountability right now. It’s about escalating the situation.
And yes certain occupations do have a culture. But like most other groups of people in society there are good people and bad. The good have to resist the influence of the bad.
I don’t believe the police as a whole are a bunch of jack booted thugs.
There are some really bad ones though.
I also believe the police are primarily protecting governments and corporations and are responders.
We are responsible for protecting ourselves.
Or shoot their dogs, cut their tires, smash their mailboxes, etc...
Murdering a man for a dog isn't the response of rational people.
