With Christie hobbled, Jeb Bush’s lukewarm reception, Establishment GOP floats another Romney run?

Yes, this is the genius masterstroke the DC GOP has been waiting for.
You have to hand it to the establishment. They keep trying. So what if Romney is another big government Republican which a large part of the GOP vote couldnt really support in 2012. The consultants which got paid big time during the 2012 Romney run could get paid again! And if Romney could somehow get the nomination it would be another blow to the libertarian/conservative coalition in the Tea Party. Win/win. Well not for the American people, and probably not for Mitt Romney. But certainly a win for the folks who work in Downtown DC.
Check out what Pat Caddell, legendary pollster and political operative had to say about what happened in 2012. And now the establishment GOP wants to do it all over again?
Romney I am almost sure is a nice guy. Hes probably a capable manager. But he is not anything resembling what this country needs right now. A Romney/Clinton contest would basically pit 2 people with similar views on nearly everything against one another. Both Romney and Clinton are for generally larger government. Both are for a generally activist foreign policy. Both are intimately tied to the banks.
And that is why another Romney candidacy is being floated right now. Very powerful interests want to sew up the presidential race as early as possible. That is why theyve been pushing Christie (originally) and Jeb, and now Romney.

He would lose again for the same reasons he lost in 2012.
We need to look away from Washington and find someone from the States, like a Walker, Jindal or Perry.

He was afraid to take it to Obozo last time and he will be afraid to take it to Hillary the next time. Tell you what, if we need a weak-kneed RINO to run, we’ll give you a call.

I have a feeling Mitt wants another go at it. He will wear Ann down til she says yes. Men know how to get around their wives. If Mitt runs its going to suck all the air out of the room for Cruz and Perry and also Rand Paul. I think it would be a disaster. But Mitt has the money to run and he can raise mega bucks from his rich buddies and big donors.

We’re going to end up with whomever the GOP elitists decide. We’ve all seen this movie before and know how it ends.
The time to organize a third party or take control of the GOP is past for 2016. All the big money and big talkers just sat on the sidelines, so we’ll get the kind of candidate the GOP-E decides we deserve.

I disagree, Santorum was a Romney man after Arlen Specter could no longer be his hero, and Gingrich was truly against Romney and his politics.

If there absolutely HAS to be a GOPe candidate, I’m holding out for 91 year old Bob Dole with either Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin as his VP running mate.

Yeah, I’ve seen the photo, and FR endorsed Newt Gingrich.
Romney was the worst choice in Republican history, and in 22 years in elective politics has won a single election, and was kicked out of that office with 34% approval, and dominated and destroyed two GOP presidential cycles.

The time to organize a third party or take control of the GOP is past for 2016. All the big money and big talkers just sat on the sidelines, so well get the kind of candidate the GOP-E decides we deserve. There's no way that we're going to "get control back" WRT the GOP -- the reason is simple: they'll change the rules on us... just like they did at the RNC. (Google "RNC teleprompter incident".)

Romney offered to save America from King Obama once and I hope he refused another run. Let Hitlery have it unless Cruz is damn lucky.
