Pennsylvania has turned its back on small business owners, according to a recent survey. [ ]
After a two-month survey of thousands of small business owners nationwide, weve heard directly from Pennsylvanias small businesses that the state could do more to support them, said Jon Lieber, chief economist of Thumbtack.com. Creating a business climate that is welcoming to small, dynamic businesses is more important than ever, and Pennsylvanias small businesses think the state could do a better job. [ ]
Marie Page, owner of Marie Page Cleaning Service in Reeders, said [
] We are taxed like crazy. It is hard to get ahead with a small business. Large companies get tax breaks; we get taxed more. I dont think that is fair.

I’m sure they’re still doing better than the People’s Republic of NY.
And that is NOT sarcasm.
They are setting up Pennsylvania up for the election. This is all politics. A few weeks ago they gave Pennsylvania an “F” for the support to the Chesapeake Bay? Big deal....the state does not even have a bit of the bay around its border. They want a Democratic Governor and will do all it can to ensure that.
The Democratic candidates will certainly have their work cut out for them trying to explain how small businesses will not be “taxed like crazy” as the cleaning service woman said. Democrat Tom Wolf already is on the record saying that he intends to make fracking companies “pay their fair share”, for one example; other Dem candidates talk about “schools” and other entitlements that drive taxation upwards inexorably.
Marginally, if that. The PennsylJersey attitude pushes things towards the New York paradigm.
Problem is that Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental Protection wants farmers and anyone else with creeks and streams running across their properties to pony up some big money to throw into the Chesapeake toilet.
What are you complaining about, you keep voting for DEMOCRATS JERK OFF,deal with it
Just because we live in PA it does not mean with vote for the democrats...geeze don’t be so mean to a fellow Freeper..

For the record, the governor of PA and both state houses are Republican.
I left PA for SC this year and have not missed it one bit. Well that is untrue; I do miss many of the people of Western PA, but the government is crazy. Yes, taxes are too high and if fracking were stopped tomorrow, Western PA would shut down. I wish them well, but electing a Dem. governor will be a mistake.
PA has a huge republican majority and a republican governor and they refuse to take advantage of it! I have had it with the PA republican party. They have no fight, no message, no plan. All I know is that we got a giant gas tax increase from them. Thanks a ton.
I have heard from generally reliable sources that a number of the major fracking players are preparing to pull out of PA if Tom Wolfe gets elected.
Sorry need my coffee..should of seen that...this Country is going down the tubes..
For the record has not helped in Presidential races
No. He didn’t tax us. Just the gasoline wholesalers. ;-)
