The day would have been far, far different if Pro. Israel groups had dared to pop up in that crowd. I can’t blame them for staying away. That would be like a lamb running into the slaughterhouse. The Palestinians would have loved the sideshow of seeing Jewish or Christian people beaten to death.
The English Bobbys would have remained either as still as a park statue or nowhere to be seen, having tea and scones as the officers peer down on the crowd below from their safe perch near the second storey windows. I do not know if the English Ship can still be righted, I’m not at all sure of the U.S.S. American Liberty to be truthful.
