For decades, America has stood with Israel and defended its right to protect itself against attacks from the radical Islamic terrorists of Hamas and similar organizations.
This time around, however, the Obama administration and Secretary of State John Kerry have demanded that Israel agree to cease-fire proposals that Israel knew were not in its best interestsbut, wanting to preserve the historically strong relationship between the two countries, Israel agreed.
Three men died as a direct result, when Palestinian militants broke the cease-fire in less than two hours. Israel has said that they are no longer interested in interference in their internal affairs from Washington or in negotiating with terrorists.
Standing with Israel in this decision is Governor Rick Perry, who wrote recently in Politico why he supports the Jewish state.
Among his reasons, Perry lists Israels willingness to discuss and abide by multiple cease-fires, even though Hamas and other militants violated the peace repeatedly. He also denounces Hamass use of human shields, behind which hide the groups leaders and weapons.
Perhaps most importantly, he cites Hamass desire to take the life of every Israeli within range of its thousands of rockets, military and civilian alike.
Perry has been to Israel, and he understands the conditions therethe families who have lost loved ones to terror attacks, who fear letting their children play outside unprotected, and who are forced to evacuate to shelters when the militants target heavily populated civilian areas with their rockets.
Perry is right to call on the United States to support Israel not only diplomatically, but with military and financial assistance as well. Israel is not only on the winning side of this conflictits on the right side, and America must support its fight for freedom, democracy, and peace in the middle east.
Taking it out of context is the only defense of his moronic comment I have seen thus far. That defense makes no sense, of course, but what else can they say?
Weiny? Maybe not. But liberal he most certainly is. He's also a moron (see my tagline).
Agree with your post 100%
It is astounding to me how people cannot see that Perry is a full amnesty Statist.
Perry is strong on the border -- NOT!!!
Perry is too stupid to understand that our Republic is literally being destroyed by an invasion of anti-English, very anti-American third world scum pouring across our Southern border.
True leaders act in a bold and fearless manner. All Perry does is talk, talk, talk and more talk.
Do you understand humor and politics?
