The Army says it will soon notify 550 majors that they must leave the service by next spring as part of a budget-driven downsizing of the service.
Some of those soldiers will get the bad news while they are on the front lines in Afghanistan.
The Army has close to 514,000 soldiers now, but due to budget cuts must be down to 510,000 by October, and down to 490,000 by October 2015.

I think we know what they are looking for.
I bet they had those “surveys” handy. Remember when they queried soldiers about their loyalty to the Constitution and Commander in Chief? or shooting Americans?
something like that, my memory is vague

I doubt voting in the military on foreign bases is all that secret... maybe that is how they selected them

Maybe he will replace them will more German Officers as just happened this week. SHOCK! For the first time EVER, a non-American will hold the position of Chief of Staff for the U.S. Army in Europe. Brig. Gen. Markus Laubenthal will be stationed at USAREUR headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
yes elections mean something and I still want to scream whenever I visit the base and see an bammy sticker....or my favorite "vets for obama"....like in, we've got ours now so we don't care about anyone else....
freepers...don't be stupid....don't be juvenile....voting is a priviledge but also a responsibility that can not be thrown away with childish anger.....
it meant something to elect Romney....it meant a lot....
