Even if lightning strikes Friday and Congress OK's an immigration bill, activists angered with unaccompanied minors swarming over the U.S.-Mexico border plan to invade town hall meetings House members are planning during the five-week congressional recess.
The immigration reduction group NumbersUSA is one of those already drawing up protest plans. They distributed details to their two million members on the lawmakers already planning to host public meetings in their district.
According to the group, 99 Republicans have scheduled town halls. Just 41 Democrats have done the same.
No immigration bill is expected to pass both houses and be signed by the president, according to several sources.
No matter what happens today, there are grave concerns that voters need to confront their representatives about this summer, NumbersUSA said in a statement provided to Secrets.
The long list includes President Obamas plans to issue more executive amnesties, the federal government relocating illegal aliens to towns across the country and a tragically long reputation of the government refusing to enforce our immigration laws -- the cause of the border crisis we are experiencing now.
The amount of attention being paid to immigration is at the highest its been in years. Because of this, a pro-enforcement, commonsense message is echoing loudly across the nation. Americans en masse are feeling the consequences of our governments failures, they added.
Crappy headline by the Examiner - we’re not fighting immigration, we are fighting amnesty for ILLEGAL immigrants.
“Immigration Bill”?...You mean “Illegal Immigration Bill”...
citizens stormed town hall meetings over the ACA as well, like that did any good?
Words mean things
“Fight Immigration”?
Liars.
Legal American Citizens are fighting ILLEGAL Immigration.
Sheesh. We can’t win the headline wars.
That’s how the lib MSM control the debate. The make the terms. Illegal immigration is not even “immigration”, it is invasion, trespass, human trafficking.
I know. Discouraging, isn’t it? No matter what Americans want, the government does the opposite. So much for democracy.
It is just that, and plunder through willing handouts.
"Dad I want you to meet my boyfriend Pedro.
We're in love, I'm pregnant and we're going
to live in a trailer park in Tijuana."
"Pedro can't work b/c he has Chikungunya--he crosses
the border every week to get welfare, food stamps,
and unemployment and workmen's comp checks. "
"Pedro can't use his real name b/c he's a sex offender.
We'll get by on EITC checks b/c Pedro has four children
w/ different mothers."
"Yeo, amigo."
The First Lady was not pleased. "Get the hell outta here," she screamed.
"But Michele, " Obama pleaded, "I'm naked and afraid and I need Executive Action."
"You got a pen and a phone. Go act alone in the Oval office."
"My southern border is closed," Michele said
“Thats how the lib MSM control the debate. The make the terms. Illegal immigration is not even immigration, it is invasion, trespass, human trafficking.”
I like “border crashing,” myself.
DREAMER AMNESTY activists are also raiding these town halls.
Every illegal who takes a university seat or scholarship is a seat or scholarship that is being usurped from a citizen or legal resident.
Just when they thought we had gone away.

“citizens stormed town hall meetings over the ACA as well, like that did any good?”
In a way, it did some good.
A number of Congresspeople who voted for it were tossed out in 2010. They learned (or at least I hope they learned) to start listening to their constituents.
But in the short term, no, it didn’t do much good.
I don’t give a rats ass if I get flamed...I will not vote for ANY REPUBLICAN unless they agree to REPEAL of the ACA. PERIOD!
If they hem and haw they don’t have the right to “represent” their constituents. They work for us, not the other way around.
