Lets just recap what happened with the abduction of an Israeli soldier this morning.
The Israeli government believed the word of the Secretary of State of the United States that, via his Turkish and Qatari friends, he had obtained acceptable terms for a ceasefire with Hamas. Mr. Kerrys flunkies even bragged about the success of his Turko-Qatari connections, chiding those who looked askance at his bromance with friends and sponsors of Hamas.
What happened next a surprise attack on Israeli troops in the southern Gaza Strip an hour and a half into the ceasefire, an abduction of a soldier shows that Kerrys word Americas word! counts for absolutely nothing. Neither Turkey nor Qatar (and of course not Hamas) intended to keep their promises to the Secretary of State, their dearest friend. They counted on the ceasefire to give Hamas the advantage of surprise to score some strategic gains, in which the terrorists have probably and tragically succeeded. Neither Qatar nor Turkey are afraid of possible American retaliation for such a flagrant breach of trust.
That Kerry was deceived will give no comfort to the Israeli government, which knows now that there is no credible channel for dialog with Hamas via Kerry. Moreover, whatever room for diplomatic maneuver there was before the current debacle, has disappeared now altogether. Even beforehand, the Israeli public was already dragging the Prime Minister and the Cabinet in tow, demanding much harsher steps in the war with much more radical aims the elimination of Hamas both as a fighting force and a political structure. The infamy of todays incidents will end any possibility for compromise or for additional ceasefire experiments.
John Kerry, again, has made matters much, much worse.
Can we swap Kerry for the soldier?
Kerry was not deceived. He’s a collaborator.
Chuck Hagel, Valerie Jarrett, Lurch and obammy himself, the U.S, foreign affairs group?
Accomplishments? Squat,
To use an old adage, Kerry could f—k up polio.
Post of the day! Good one.
Kerry, unfit for duty as usual. I feel sick for the Israelis who got suckered and pressured into this tragic situation. Hamas needs to be destroyed and now is a good time.
“If obama were to nuke israel i would not be surprised.”
He’d be more subtle...maybe a nuke would accidentally on purpose get in Hamas hands.
Kerry is a total brain meltdown. His brain functions as if someone had stomped on it repeatedly with hobnailed boots. If not for his inept a@@holic meddling with what he does not understand, the IDF soldier would not have been kidnapped. I KNEW, the moment I heard of the latest “ceasefire”, that Hamas would be the one to break it and that it would give them far too much time to regroup. I was so angry when I heard about the kidnapping that I could have personally punched Kerry out—after I fetched a stepladder to reach his face.
Well, maybe Israelis will stop believing evil American moron madman who want their enemies to prevail.
But probably not.
Just as Obama's fans boasted that he must be doing something right because N. Korea has been so quiet lately - a week or so later there was a story about how N. Korea was commenting on sending a nuke our way...
skerry should home taking care of his alcoholic wife and changing her depends...even that task could be beyond his competence.
I’m shocked, shocked I say! Who would have guessed that terrorists would commit an act of terror just hours after promising to be nice?
