You give to Free Republic.
But you wait....and wait....and in the 2nd month you pull the trigger.
Then you feel better, because when it comes down to it you understand the value of Free Republic.
It is the lone conservative voice out there that gives average Joes like us a voice to combat the BS of the media, the politicians, and the robots.
The election is upon us...3 short months away, give or take a few days. The early days of the campaigns are important days. We all know it.
Obama has gone into attack mode. We need to get this and the next freep-a-thon out of the way quickly, so the shenanigans of the lawless potus can be tracked hour by hour, minute by minute.
Free Republic is famous for its election-time activism and commentary.
Quit putting it off and give.
Nobody is going to read your thread. They (the 95% that DON’T financially support FR) are over at Drudge or their favorite blog, getting ready to post a story that we have already seen 6 or 7 times today.
Now, the trick is to get this thread posted on Drudge.

Duty wouldn’t be nearly as crucial if everyone did it. That’s why the 5% are important.

I had someone tell me that they couldn’t afford to donate because they couldn’t find work.
Ok, I get that.
Yet they have a computer, internet access and spend anywhere from 12-18 hours a day on FR, posting nothing but stories that we have seen several times that day.
I actually READ the threads here. I want to know what’s what. I’ll post if I find something that I haven’t seen here and might be of interest to others.
I have offered to help FReepers to learn how to search. It does work. I’ve had no takers.
So, I’m done ranting for tonight. Alarm goes off at 04:00 for another 12 hour workday.

I’ve had recurring payment set up for a while. However, I’ve heard it mentioned in other threads — would it be worth the trouble to offer T-shirts, hats, jackets, etc. at a premium price where the site could make profit from sales? Or is it just not worth the trouble? There are sites like cafe-press that apply your design(s) to their items. Your margin is smaller, but they handle all the order processing, shipping, billing, etc.
It might be worthwhile to explore it...
