There are but two issues that keep me from officially lobbying against the Republican party as a viable way to help curb the leftist control of this country.

If they change the party platform to accommodate either one of these issues, and it doesn’t matter if they are right on the other issues, because they would be joining the left in their fight against God Himself.
Change on these issues and I will fight against the Republican party as vehemently as I do against the Democrat party, because in my mind they will in essence have removed the last reason they are not the Democrat party.
I am a Christian, and while I do stumbles and sin sin like all men, I do not justify my sine by claiming God supports evil.
Joining the left in supporting either of these issues, is tantamount to telling God that He is wrong.
Those are primary issues because they both are an attack on human life and a direct affront to God (which is the intent, actually).
Abortion and a few other issues—gay marriage is one—are the “deal breakers” for me.
Obviously, abortion is not a deal breaker for the Catholic bishops with the biggest mouths.
What is the basic message of the “Seamless Garment”? Elect pro-abortion politicians, and you will be governed with justice, wisdom, and compassion.

The platform has become a slogan, easily ignored by republicans. It is there so that every piece that votes republican feels heard. Heard and then ignored.

They are already telling God that He is wrong WRT divorce, birth control, fornication, and for the most part, sodomy.
They are inviting leftards to skew Republican primaries.
It is not true that every Republican is a scumbag, but the Republican Party now tolerates scumbags in positions of authority.
I have been a registered independent for a few weeks now.
If the body politic as a whole goes looie on marriage it will only serve as a lesson on what you get when you put a matter of this degree of spiritual importance in Caesar’s hands. They might CALL it marriage but it ain’t marriage, any more than the ocean is fresh water.
