I received a call from my sons

LOL! Remember that nut? Mr. Fly off the handle Bobby Knight.
The fix is call Pain Association Therapy. When applied in earnest and frequently it corrects a whole lot of bad behavior. If applied early in the child’s life, it will not have to be applied forcefully at a later date.
Probably not 1% of the people on this forum were suspended in preschool, and most never suspended at all during elementary & secondary education. Yet her sons receive eight just in preschool. There are dogs not barking on this one. Guarantee you something isn't right in that household, and it begins with Mrs. Powell. Plus, the details of each suspension are not given. I'll bet the preschool staff would have a lot to say, but betcha they've been threatened with their jobs if they do.
Blacks are 12% of the U.S. population, and yet commit 70-75% of violent crimes. Guarantee you that's not racism, but a completely broken down culture among blacks. Civil society doesn't exist in many black areas. Yes, a lot of it due to the 80% black out-of-wedlock births and fatherless homes. But who do you see filmed fighting and trashing fast food restaurants, or getting into it on buses & trains with regularity? It's not the black males.
Won't happen, but Mrs. Powell needs to stow away her race card, and have her husband get out the leather belt.
Different generation. If I would have been suspended for hitting a teacher (not that it would have happened because I would have gone to the principal’s office where he would have swatted me enough to get that violence out of my head) I would have gone home to face the wrath of my parents. Throughout school swats kept us on the straight and narrow. I will admit now that I was the recipient of many life straightening remedies.
Hes a victim of creeping weenie-ism.
Just be sure he wears a helmet while he rides his tricycle and takes up soccer.
And, whatever you do, dont let him have a cap pistol!!!
When I was in school in the 60s and 70s, throwing a chair wouldn’t have been acceptable nor should it have been. This has nothing to do with trying to feminize boys or make them into weenies. Throwing a chair is not acceptable, nor is hitting a teacher or any adult or child IMO.
According to this article she got other parents’ experiences and their kids were not suspended. I guess that is proof enough for me.
He’s in school...where else do you think he should be?
I was kicked out of preschool for smoking.....the teacher’s back tires. She left her keys in her purse in the drawer of her desk where any kid could accidentally find them.
Oh...how they label you when you’re young. “Menace to society!” “Juvenile delinquent!” “Potential Republican!”
Save your “A, B, Cs” Mrs Pepper. The three letters I wanted were “GTO”!
While the other kids had nap time, I was out in the teachers parking lot trying to hotwire a Mustang.
Yeah.....I did a little time in The Big House.....the Principal’s office. He left his keys in his overcoat. Did you know those old Pontiacs could do 50 in reverse? Well, I knew it. So did the police.
They tried everything to stop me. Roadblocks. Shooting out the tires. Threatening to tell my Dad. He got a kick out of it. He started calling me “Speedy”.
Guess I come from a different era.
Grew up in the Fifties, when kids weren’t oppressed for ‘acting up.’
Some firm yet caring guidance, and part of the problem may be the mom as well as the dad. This does not sound like a problem that arose in a vacuum. Normal boys are little bundles of energy. They don’t need to be stomped so much as guided. Society has been trying to re-engineer a humanity to which God holds the authoritative blue prints. Then society wonders why that won’t work.
Okay. Bypassing the racial argument entirely, why are suspensions and expulsions from preschool (short of seriously heinous behavior, rather than garden-variety acting out like what’s mentioned here) not absurd in the first place?
But the family would have to do without that second new car and the week at Disney. Where are your priorities?
An old British proverb has it that the battle of Waterloo (the British defeated Napoleon) was “won on the playing-fields of Eton” (the British school).
Folks, God is weeping. Boys need to be boys! I cringe when I see some overweening mother trying to make them into girls, while their dad just ignores them. The masculine energy will simply come out in some other, twisted way.
Well said.
Weenie-ism meets the Prophet of Doom. I’m glad the mother is speaking up about this. Kids have to learn to be civilized. Most don’t start out that way. These sound like a normal pair of little boys. These do not sound like future Elliot (Manifesto)Rodgers. Meanwhile, I think she would be better off either changing their pre-schools, or minimizing their exposure; not a full five day week, or just being at home with her children until they turn five. There are choices.
I’ve been there, done that, as the boy. Let me tell you brother, it STINKS!
Guess it depends heavily on one’s definition of ‘civilized’ and at what age they’re expected to behave in a manner acceptable to the adults around them.
Most of whom, let’s face it, are... weenies.
I think I recall seeing that maybe three years ago, but I forgot why. It was either somebody was being dissed at a kindergarten graduation, or some other woman called ‘mommy’ fat, which, I presume no one has been allowed to do.
