Before there is any further discussion of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, it’s important that one point be made absolutely clear:

This plane crash is a result of the Russian invasion of eastern Ukraine, an operation deliberately designed to create legal, political and military chaos.

Without this chaos, a surface-to-air missile would not have been fired at a passenger plane.

From the beginning, the Russian government did not send regular soldiers to Ukraine. Instead, it sent Russian mercenaries and security service operatives such as Igor Strelkov — the commander in chief in Donetsk and a Russian secret police colonel who fought in both Chechen wars ...

With the help of local thugs, these Russian security men besieged police stations, government offices and other symbols of political authority to delegitimize the Ukrainian state.

In this task, they were assisted by the Russian government and by Russia’s state-controlled mass media, both of which still constantly denigrate Ukraine ...

Into this ambiguous and unstable situation, the Russians cynically funneled a stream of heavy weapons: machine guns and artillery and, eventually, tanks, armed personnel carriers and anti-aircraft missiles....

Indeed, Strelkov on Thursday afternoon reportedly boasted online of having taken down another military plane before realizing that the plane in question was MH17. The blog post was removed.

In late June, several different Russian media sources published photographs of Buk anti-aircraft missiles that they said had been captured by the separatists — though they were probably outright gifts from Russia. These posts have also been removed.

This is the context within which a surface-to-air missile was aimed at a passenger plane: a lawless environment; irregular soldiers who might not be so good at reading radar; a nihilistic disregard for human life; scorn for international norms, rules or standards ....

They do use the same tactic. But that’s okay. That is all they got and they enjoy the name calling. None of them ever say what it is they want Obama to do. If they did that, they would have no reason to slam anyone. They know Obama is going to do very little.

Checked the author of this article...who supported Pervert Roman Polanski.

For years he had fled sentencing after a grand jury investigation for molesting a 13 yr. old.

Applebaum had her husband, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, lobby the US to drop proceedings against Polanski, who was clearly guilty... then she denied she knew her husband was doing that.

I have no regard for anyones writings who 'support perverts' as she did, and used her political and hollywood connections to obtain his release from the justice his victims were rightly deserving of.

Why would Russia even want to invade and take on their debt ridden state, they wouldn’t have survived without Russia’s subsidizing and giving them handouts.......he’s secured his ports and certainly capable of securing his border with Ukraine in the East.

Interesting the Red Cross has now officially stated this is a ‘CIVIL WAR’...just as Russia has been saying all along...and it is....with various outsiders giving their chosen side a hand.

But it was started by the EU/NATO/US expansion throughout the Baltics..Ukraine was one of their central “prizes” for it’s location and resources. But they didn’t anticipate stepping on the bears toes would create an unmanageable situation beyond their control.
