In a Wall Street Journal op-ed, co-author and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush argued that it was important to send the majority of the 50,000 unaccompanied minors back home.
Except for those deserving few who may demonstrate true cause for asylum or protection from sex trafficking, these children must be returned to their homes in Central America, he wrote in the op-ed, which was co-authored by Clint Bolick.
Bush argued that the 2008 anti-trafficking law - allowing children to stay in the country - should be changed to help stop the flow of children crossing the border, who then claim asylum.
The children who have come here were provoked by adults and made to believe that crossing our border would be the key to their family's escape from a life of poverty or danger, Bush writes. That must end.
Bush has a record of supporting immigration reform, especially a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants. He has also suggested that for many, crossing the border illegally was an act of love.

Here is the original Jeb Bush OP-ED in the Wall Street Journal:

Here are the key paragraphs of his op-ed:
“We must close loopholes that allow for individuals to be released from federal custody between hearings. Except for those deserving few who may demonstrate true cause for asylum or protection from sex trafficking, these children must be returned to their homes in Central America.
Next, we must aggressively remove the incentives that encourage people to break immigration laws. It is vital that we clearly communicate that there will be zero rewards for those who imperil the lives of children by sending them to the U.S. illegally. The children who have come here were provoked by adults and made to believe that crossing our border would be the key to their family’s escape from a life of poverty or danger. That must end.”
Shut up, you moron.
I don’t know Jeb...would that still qualify as an act of love?
Go away Jeb and take your tax-cheat wife with you.
Jeb is so transparent. He’s saying this so that they can get back to working on passing “comprehensive immigration reform.” The people are up in arms!
Terri Schiavo could not be reached for comment.
Can we send Jeb with them? Please?
Legal Immigrants Welcome!
Illegal Aliens, LEAVE NOW!
He still wants amnesty ...
Tack to Starboard!
Fock the Liberal DemocRat Booshies and their ilk.
GTH....BUSH
So, Jeb...whatever happened to the “act of love”? Smarmy one-world degenerate.
No, ALL of them.
Jeb must have put some new batteries in his hearing aid
I think he qualified that with the Majority of illegals in Alaska.
I wouldn’t trust or vote for this damn phony or any other damn Bush again ever. Everytime I have to look at or hear that disgusting menace in the Oval Office, I see the faces of the three guys who helped out him there : Bush I, Clinton, Bush II.
Someone is moving right, must be running.
