Terrorists worldwide now know they can drop a plane from the sky and get the global community to block all Israeli air travel. This has only started.
Agreed that they are terrorists. But the hassles of flying (TSA, etc.) are ineffective and intrusive - that’s what Bush put in place (along with more NSA snooping, etc.) Bush was ok in many respects but he blew it with the TSA.
To put things in perspective, at least 116 Americans will die in Automobile accidents before the end of the weekend.

The missing flight en route from Burkina Faso to Algiers has crashed, an Algerian aviation official has told the Reuters news agency.
Either Islam is involved, or there are a good number of pilots, crew, and passengers going Galt.

The missing MANPADS of Benghazi fame have spread around the world? News is saying a shoulder-fired “probably” doesn’t have the necessary altitude to hit commercial aircraft, but that is not the same as saying that they definitely do not under any circumstances have that capability. There is always the issue of a plane adjusting its altitude for turbulence, for approach, for other reasons that I don’t know about since I’m not an aviator.
A knowledgeable enemy could assess those reasons and attempt to be in the right place at the right time.
