Anything. Well, that’s very astute.
I’m starting to think my frequent flyer miles might not be worth it.
Probably another black hole brought on by global warming.
Still early. Must drink coffee.
Are passenger’s phones ringing? Nowadays that’s always a concern.
I’m supposed to take an international flight in about 2 weeks. Between the two Malaysia Air losses, that Taiwan crash, and now this, the summer is not looking good for air travel.
LOL
Freepers. Funniest people evuh!
The plane involved is an MD-83, a variant of the MD-80; per Wiki, they were manufactured from 1984 to 1999.
I’ve flown on an MD-88. Narrow body, but not bad.
Heard this on the radio yesterday.
After Two Disasters, Can Malaysia Airlines Still Attract Passengers?
Lo and behold, Malasian Airlines management was awarded on the basis of affirmative action policies that benefit ethnic Malays. 0.0
I’m embarrassed to type that I didn’t know there was a country named Burkina Faso.
Per capital GDP of $1,400. Fertility rate of 5.93 children per woman. The median age of the population is 16.
Right, nowadays it seems to be getting harder to separate the background noise from the meaningful data. Was this just a tragic accident or something more sinister? We’ll have to wait to find out, but count me suspicious in this environment.
Mad Dogs
The connection to Algeria, reminded me of this.
Education in Burkina Faso is divided into primary, secondary and higher education.[47] However schooling costs approximately CFA 50,000 ($97 USD) per year, which is far above the means of most Burkinabè families.
That region has had a very serious problem with Ebola.
Always remember, those planes were built by the lowest bidder.
An unnamed Air Algerie company source, speaking to AFP news agency, said:
"The plane was not far from the Algerian frontier when the crew was asked to make a detour because of poor visibility and to prevent the risk of collision with another aircraft on the Algiers-Bamako route."
"Contact was lost after the change of course."
Ahhh, fudge. Doesn't sound good. What about the other plane?
I haven’t seen this many planes falling out of the skies since the Clinton administration.
I've not heard of this country, but a quick wiki check (prob getting LOTS of hits today as people wake up and say, "WTH is Burkina Faso?" :P) shows it sure isn't a vacation destination. Sounds like a pretty volatile region. Same president since 1987? Geez.
