If $97 is far above the means, I wonder: who is flying out of this place and how much is a ticket...and why?

I've not heard of this country, but a quick wiki check (prob getting LOTS of hits today as people wake up and say, "WTH is Burkina Faso?" :P) shows it sure isn't a vacation destination. Sounds like a pretty volatile region. Same president since 1987? Geez.

From the CIA's World Factbook:

Major infectious diseases:

degree of risk: very high
food or waterborne diseases: bacterial and protozoal diarrhea, hepatitis A, and typhoid fever
vectorborne disease: dengue fever, malaria, and yellow fever
water contact disease: schistosomiasis
respiratory disease: meningococcal meningitis
animal contact disease: rabies

note: highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza has been identified in this country; it poses a negligible risk with extremely rare cases possible among US citizens who have close contact with birds (2013)

Honey, cancel the vacation to Burkina Faso!
