The FAA suspended all flights to Israel!

Obama and the UN gave the $$$$ for the rocket attacks.
Any apology from the White house yet?

The USA didn’t give any money (or arms) to Hamas in Gaza. Also one should know that Israel sends all kinds of humanitarian aid across their border into Gaza all the time.

And the feds will be suspending all travel to Chicago when?
To: Star Traveler; Diogenesis
Actually, it’s an accounting game, the same as they play with Planned Parenthood. They give PP millions each year for other than abortions, which they cannot fund. However, PP is enabled to free up funds elsewhere and spend more on abortions due to the giving of the FED. Money — even designated money — is fungible even to a really slow-witted accountant.
We give a hundred million or so to the Palestine president for ‘humanitarian purposes’. Sure.

I wouldn’t doubt that some of the MANPADs from Libya found their way to Hamas.

Hamas and the Pals fired rockets into Israel in June, May, April, March, February, January...all of 2013, 2012.....So now they decide to suspend flights?

This is clearly a shot across the bow from Hussein Obama to Netanyahu. Too bad US airlines are getting involved in the politics. The FAA cannot “forbid” these airlines from exercising their multilateral responsibilities.

They can’t fly into a war zone. They also can’t afford the liability or the loss of life.

Israel makes a distinction between Hamas and its terrorist organization versus the Palestinian civilians. Israel say VERY EXPLICITLY and VERY EMPHATICALLY says to the world that they are not targeting Palestinian civilians and are not trying to drive them out and are not trying to starve them out. So Israel does allow humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians.

Ummm ... you wouldn’t like flying on the airplane that got shot out of the sky because of these rockets. If that happened, your family would probably be running to a lawyer’s office to sue the airline for not protecting its passengers.

This time they’re using longer distance rockets and going further than they have before.

I agree this is Hussein Obama running interference for Hamas and tightening the screws on Israel.
Regardless of what the FAA can or cannot order, no airline is going to accept the liability (in the eyes of a civil-suit jury) of operating "against FAA orders".

It’s actually going very well and in Israel’s favor. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu really knows what he’s doing here!

Wonder if travelers insurance will pay for all of those that were taking vacations to the area.
I had been planning a trip there for October but have totally given up on that idea for now.
To: Dagnabitt
Sending more traffic to El Al is a funny way of tightening the screws.
