Who is the tall dark stranger there, Maverick is his name
Our Sunday night favorite show in the early years. We all waited to see if it would be Bret that week, and we cheered that it was. If Jack or Roger, well sometimes we watched and sometimes we didn't.

I generally don’t chime in regarding the death of celebrities, but James Garner was one of the big ones and his passing is noted with sadness and gratitude.

I purchased The Great Escape on Amazon streaming video about a week ago. Watched the whole thing in glorious HD.
86 years of an active life is a good run. RIP

R.I.P. Jimbo.
I remember seeing Jimbo on the Johnny Carson show talking about how the studio's said the "Rockford Files" made no money. He started explaining some of there "Accounting Method's," needless to say with democrat accounting method's even a very profitable show could show a lost.
[Johnny] Carson keep asking him how much would he settle for; 5 million, 10 million, stopped at 20 million, and Jimbo just said we'll see in court.
Just wondering what he got out of that lawsuit, if anybody should know?

Exactly!
Same story in my house growing up.
I completely forgot that Roger Moore played “Beau” Maverick.

So sad. He seemed like such nice man. Seem to remember he suffered from terrible back pain and had to wear a brace.
He will always be remembered for Maverick and the Rockford Files but my favorite character was seen in Victor/Victoria. Good movie! At 86 he had a long and fruitful life. RIP, sir.
