Texas Sen. Ted Cruz confirmed Thursday that he will be joining Glenn Beck and Mercury One at the border in McAllen, Texas, on Saturday to feed, clothe, and provide toys for illegal immigrant children.
Catherine Frazier, a spokeswoman for the senator, told TheBlaze in an email: “Tens of thousands of children are being smuggled into the United States by dangerous drug cartels and transnational gangs – it is heartless to allow that to continue.”
“But while we work to reverse the policies that have caused this tragedy, it is important we recognize the human element of this crisis, and Sen. Cruz is glad to join Glenn Beck and Mercury One in that effort to provide some relief from the suffering this administration is causing,” Frazier continued.

Feeding these hungry people are not encouraging them....many of these people were sold a bill of goods by the Obama administration to come to the USA and get your free sh*t...and vote democrat too...
I'm sure most had no idea the kerfuffle they were walking into...
This is what I'm thinking, too. It's just an unfounded guess on my part, but I wonder if he isn't going to use this visit to turn the spotlight on the chaos there and on Obama's utter failure to address it. Once the visit is over, I think Cruz is going to crank it up....refuse to be quiet about what he saw until something is done. He'll have that personal experience to draw on.

Additionally, then Sens Graham and McCain stated on MTP last week that Cruz supported to legalization of those here now, Cruz did not refute it.
But he's against "Amnesty".

I spent time today......along with many others in our nation....protesting this invasion.
And Ted Cruz, IMO, should have been at one of those protests in Texas.....
Instead he’s unloading food for the illegals.
I seriously doubt the government was allowing these illegals to starve.
I also joined the national protests, this morning, north of Houston. We had about 90 - 100 patriots. We were overwhelmingly supported by the passing traffic.
I agree....I would much prefer to see Sen Cruz standing with the patriots protesting this invasion, than handing out goodies to the illegals, with GB.
Wasn’t it a great experience standing with other citizen patriots .....trying to make a difference!!

The worst thing we could do is to let these people starve. Third World poverty is on display in this country. Do we answer back with a resounding, "Go back," to a 4-year old? How will we find out who these people's parents are? How will we keep them from child pornographers or drug coyotes? People have DUMPED their children on us. Unbelievable. These little ones are ALONE.

I believe this is the fundamental change 0bama originally meant, starting with paying for illegals health’care’
I am furious. But I hope I would feed them and send them home, if I can.
For example, the dead children on the Rio Grande could have been trafficked and killed, then dumped. I worry that now that we have all these underage people—even gang members—in these detention camps, we have a REAL serious situation on more levels than we know what to do with. Beginning with how we ask a 4 year old who his parents are and where they are.
I’d rather think of these people as invaders, which they are.
I’d prefer to send them ALL back. Every single one.
But I don’t want the press to have the luxury of painting us as uncaring, especially since the ‘press’ have children, too.
I am furious that this invasion has the potential to lead to bloodshed, as this WILL NOT end well. Maybe it’s time that happened, as we’re being torn apart, all the same. I know where I’d start.
I just would rather watch about home remodeling or go to dinner, rather than think about all this. Going to dinner, however, takes me past new construction of multiple-family (affordable?) housing, so I can’t much get away from the topic.

I believe that the government itself is overwhelmed, at which point, supply lines of all types can easily break.

We are begging for true leaders. Not the kind who change their stripes once they get in office......ie, Marco Rubio!

I believe they will be escorted to the interior, a la the thread the other evening, which is trafficking of its own sort. Hence my comment on the supply lines.
The aloneness will lead to gang membership, simply to survive. So, we will have 10s of 1000s of hardened 3rd worlders on our hands and in our pockets.
We should all learn Spanish. For sheer survivability. It’s always best to learn the language of your opponent. Knowing one saved my a$$ more than once.

Oh. One more thing. I am not naïve at all. But I am a problem solver, not a touchy feely type. I strategize and try to think ahead.
For example, I would not put it past 0bama to LET some of these kids starve and let the press see this, if it served his master’s agenda. That bothers me.
