(CNN) -- Early speculation about the crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 has centered on the possibility it could have been shot down as it passed over volatile eastern Ukraine. After all, Ukrainian officials say pro-Russia separatists, or possibly Russia, were behind the shooting down of two Ukrainian aircraft in recent days.

Any reason why? And is there any possibility that if it is something like that it's the cause for the other MA 777 that disappeared?
Whether it was shot in error or something else, I wouldn't be surprised if what happened to one of the planes happened to the other.
It seems the Ukrainian rebels, under the command of Igor "Strelkov", thought they were bagging another AN-26 transport belonging to Kiev. Intercepted phone call:
“Major”: These are Chernukhin folks who shot down the plane. From the Chernukhin check point. Those cossacks who are based in Chernukhino.“Grek”: Yes, Major.
"Major": The plane fell apart in the air. In the area of Petropavlovskaya mine. The first “200” (code word for dead person). We have found the first “200”. A Civilian.

They say on TV it’s AN-26 transport plane, but they say it’s written Malaysia Airlines on the plane. What was it doing on Ukraine’s territory?

We really don't know. In my mind, the first question is why was that plane flying across Ukraine? To save fuel was one thought expressed on CBS. Another was sheer stupidity.

The fact that it's the anniversary of Flight 800 going and this year 19th day of Ram A Damn hasn't been mentioned anywhere that I've seen. Another airliner or some other significant act may well take place on the 21st day of Ram A Damn as well because these days mark the beginning and the ending of one of the "greatest loses to mankind" in history and jihadists consider them especially good days to force infidels to weep with the faithful.
That'll all just slide through the cracks and be ignored. The US is determined to give Iraq and Syria to the Mooze Lame Brotherhood and knows Russia is the only country that would dare to intervene and resist the MB.

Putin looks out for Russia first and foremost, no doubt about it. He's not a nice guy, but he's not into fantasies either, he's a realist and a pragmatist. He's also in charge of a military that is capable of distinguishing civilian from military aircraft. That rules out Russia as the source of the missile.
The separatists only have the skill to operate such missile systems when it serves the purposes of Kiev to say they do. Whether they do or not is open to question and it's very true that they wouldn't be able to separate civilian from military flights.
Kiev has it's share of nut cases as well and the day after the Azov Battalion which definitely does have people who can operate such SAMs and probably doesn't have the ability to discern civilian from military aircraft returns to the East this aircraft is shot down. An event that from the POV of the Azov Battalion achieves a lot.
Throw in the fact that there are Tartars around who would be more than happy to strike a blow for jihad and it's not at all clear who shot the aircraft down. Whether or not the CIA played a role didn't cross my mind but obviously it crossed yours.
