A defiant Todd Akin on Thursday conceded he misspoke some words regarding his infamous 2012 comments on rape, but he cast blame on those in both parties for politicizing them.
In an interview on MSNBC, the 2012 Missouri Republican Senate nominee didnt spare anyone criticism, calling out by name Bill and Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party, Karl Rove, Senate Republican leadership and the political media. Continue Reading

I misspoke some words, Akin conceded to host Chuck Todd.
Thats as far as his remorse went, though, as the conservative firebrand continues his re-emergence to promote his new book and rail against the political establishment that largely abandoned him after his controversial comments.

One would think after him single handily lost a sure Senate seat he would slither back to where he came from. But no he wants to extend his 15 minutes of infamy and has a book to sell.
Nobody paid any attention to Todd since the last election. Now that election time is approaching, state-controlled media wants to dredge him up for their never-ending “Republican war on women” extravaganza.
Well said.
How is Politico spinning the whole thing of Hillary laughing about defending a child rapist, slut shaming her, and being a rotten person?
Because Akin is a complete and total IDIOT, as many of us said during his campaign.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE go away Akin, you pathetic (and self-centered) loser. Haven’t you caused enough damage?
the is a living breathing example of dumbassness... he should become a Rat being that stupid..
UGH -this guy just needs to go away!
You post what you want and I'll post what I want. The man has done enough to my state. I'd like to make sure he doesn't do any more harm.
He really needs to shut up.
With that said, I recently read a remarkable book, The Waiting by Cathy LaGrow, about a woman who was conceived by rape in 1928. She met her biological mother for the first time 77 years later, only to find out that her grandson had flown four space missions for NASA and that another grandson was a West Point grad.
More about the book at www.thewaitingbook.com. Incredible story.
It's not like they've had to drag a reluctant Akin kicking and dragging out of the shadows. He's thrust himself back into the spotlight; the media is just enabling him.

I don't think he's said but I truly think he's testing the waters. Why else write the book and start attracting the media again? Maybe he's looking at governor in 2016?
If he really thinks he can run for office again we need to nip it in the bud.

How was she ignorant of her grandchildren... I don’t get the connection, unless it means the biological mother.
Akin seems to be tripping over his own ego which is sad. There are a lot of pro-life ways of dealing with the issue. Wallowing in old wives’ tales is not among them.
