Most voters dont want any of the young illegal immigrants whove recently arrived here housed in their state and say any legislation passed by Congress to deal with the problem should focus on sending them home as soon as possible.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the primary focus of any new immigration legislation passed by Congress should be to send the young illegal immigrants back home as quickly as possible. Just 27% say it should focus instead on making it easier for these illegal immigrants to remain in the United States. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Advocates for the illegal immigrants argue that they are flooding into the country to escape violent situations in their home countries, but just 31% of U.S. voters think they are coming here now for their own safety. Most voters (52%) believe they are coming here for economic reasons. Seventeen percent (17%) are not sure.
Have you ever noticed that on any given policy question, 14-17% don’t know? That is the Clueless Bloc that shows up at the polls in presidential years to vote Democrat.
Sorry, I don’t believe it. Most voters are keeping the rotten scum we have in office, and most of the rotten scum are the cause of this.
I accept that. They will know if it's announced that a few hundred central americans are moving to their towns and will be going to their schools.
I don’t think voters are bright enough to equate who they vote for with what is happening in their lives/town/country.
Sadly.
On a good note, I am thrilled to see so many communities fighting back and rejecting have illegals in their towns. Finally, it is brought home to them what will happen if the invasion continues (the invasion has been going on for decades, just not all over the country yet). This could change the amnesty fight since most people thought it would never affect them. Having illegals forced on them - with all the resulting costs, crime, degradation of their cites and culture - is making people pay attention.
I am personally using this recent invasion to judge where to move to. I am picking a place where the people stand up for their principles and reject the invaders.
How about sending them ALL home!?
I accept that. They will know if it’s announced that a few hundred central americans are moving to their towns and will be going to their schools.
Yep. But it may take time for a lot of these idiots to notice.
Some act like these children are cute puppies. What they will find out is that a lot of these cute puppies are actually 25 year old gang members.
And those 14-17% are probably people whose employers let them leave at 3pm on election Tuesdays to go vote.
Yeah, we’ll see how “most voters” vote in the next election.
Apparently, the ‘rats don’t believe it either because they keep crapping where they sleep and eat.
I think the word "People" they are talking about is not the word that describes the "Average American"....
Libs use "The People" as a smokescreen to make it seem like it actually means the American People, I think it actually means their "Special Interest Groups"....
barrys ever so Reflective isnt he....
To bad the GOP is too ineffective/scared/stupid to make this a political issue.
Great issue to be on the right side of, going into November elections.
GOP talking point: This was brought about by Obama’s policies, and democrats fully support them and him.
So reject them and him.
Congress: send the illegals home now, or we send you home in November!
Let them clean up NYC, Chicago, Detroit, etc. first. Then let them build a fence. Then put all federal union workers on the other side of the fence and give these people their jobs. But do not let them vote until they go through the same process all immigrants must go through, including education in the Constitution and an oath of citizenship.
Ears like the handles on a Greek wine jug.
