A Malaysian passenger airliner with 295 people on board crashed in Ukraine near the Russian border, Interfax cited an aviation industry source as saying on Thursday.

Notice there are NO commercial aircraft over Southeastern Ukraine, but several are flying over Crimea (Russian Controllers)
Again, I’d like to know WHO routed this aircraft over Donetsk and the war zone.
Was it MH’s dispatchers? Did the pilot enter a course change?
DID UKRAINE’S CONTROLLERS route it over the fighting??

WHY the dramatic course change compared to the July 16th flight, taking it directly over contested territory?

Apparently, the restricted airspace established by the Ukrainian government only extended to 32,000 feet. So technically MH17 was not in restricted airspace.
That said, if I had been piloting that plane and it was suggested by any ground control that I fly over eastern Ukraine, I think I would refuse that corrections. I mean, how bad could that weather along the normal path be that you would fly over an active combat zone.

I was wondering if there were still any Putin apologists left on this forum. Putin is a sociopathic tyrant who is trying to rebuild the Soviet Union while Obama and the rest of the world sleeps.
These “rebels” didn’t just discover some surface to air missile and shoot it at the sky. It takes an entire platoon of trained engineers, mechanics, and strategists to operate a SAM battery and hit a moving target, plus it takes a surface to air missile, which, the last time I looked is not available on E-Bay. This missile was launched by either ex-Russian military equipped and supplied by Russia or Russian soldiers.
Putin’s fingerprints are all over this murder of 300 civilians and anyone who thinks that Putin is a good guy is either really stupid or really evil.
You are aware that that dotted red line is awfully close to the border of the officially recognized Crimean NO FLY ZONE.
So which one should the airlines stay away from as they fly through that area — the NO FLY ZONE or the Donetsk Thug War Zone.
