I think the idea is to make all gun owners criminals. Then they can arrest anybody and make it stick.

They also can't be accused of being racist. Nowadays, probably 80% of the murders in the state are in $hitcago - and most of them are by gang-bangers, the vast majority of whom are black.

But, saying that is raciss too. So here we are back to making everybody a criminal so they can't be accused of being raciss.

You left out the local church charity option, which I would definitely keep in there. Of course, the pastors would be a lot more diligent about the use of their charity resources, and just might require some behavioral/spending changes on the party of the petitioner.

And hopefully a congregational committee is keeping an eye on how the pastor spends Church money on needy single moms, lest they belatedly discover the Church has been funding the keeping of the pastor's mistresses.

Personally, I would enjoy watching the attempt of a drive by shooting utilizing a 35 lb. .50 Cal BMG pointed out the window of a stolen sedan. I certainly wouldn't want to be in the back seat tho.........
