I think "Republican" Dwayne The Rock Johnson presented the award.
Getting an award for being homosexual. Crazy.

God help us. We’re not only flaunting sin in the street, we’re standing and cheering it as honourable.
I wish I could post one of those little vomiting guys.

Sure means something different than my days. What courage? Did he do it without KY jelly while looking at pictures of Oregon cheerleaders?

when accepting an award for his incredible courage.
Maybe Michael Sam really is incredibly courageous, I don't know. But what danger or persecution is he facing? It's hardly an act of bravery to come out as gay to the media in 2014 - this is not a little black girl trying to make her way through angry crowds to a newly desegregated school in the '50s.
And I'd buy Sam's claims that he just wants to be known as a football player if he didn't spend so much time and effort trying to make sure he's known as the incredibly courageous gay football player. This is a guy seeking celebrity, not recognition for his game.
Now, if his boyfriend is still the one who was reported to be the son of some Mafia figure, there might be some bravery involved in that.

It takes a brave man to face all those queer diseases and a guaranteed early death.

awesome...soon they will be honoring the first gay couple to have open sex on the streets and call it groundbreaking. Something for the whole family to watch and to learn about acceptance and tolerance.
