People who claim to worry about climate change use more electricity than those who do not, a Government study has found.
Those who say they are concerned about the prospect of climate change consume more energy than those who say it is too far into the future to worry about, the study commissioned by the Department for Energy and Climate Change found.
That is in part due to age, as people over 65 are more frugal with electricity but much less concerned about global warming.
However, even when pensioners are discounted, there is only a weak trend to show that people who profess to care about climate change do much to cut their energy use.
The findings were based on the Household Electricity Survey, which closely monitored the electricity use and views of 250 families over a year. The report, by experts from Loughborough University and Cambridge Architectural Research, was commissioned and published by DECC.

People who rail on about carbon footprints have the biggest...AL Gore
It’s only because they CARE so much. [/s]
Most nutballs who believe in Global Warming always pass the buck to corporations..to their mom and dad..etc. They are the biggest hypocrites.
But of course they are deeply concerned about everyone else’s energy usage.
All Gore probably uses more energy in an average month than I will in my lifetime.
Just like with so many other things, people substitute talking for doing.
If only the ‘rats would lemmings be, Gaia would be saved by a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions.
Well... how else are they gonna keep the ‘climate’ inside their house exactly the same every day ?
Paging Al Gore...
HYPOCRITES!
Also, Al Gore
That has been proven. Nashville electric records are public record. They showed that his house in Belle Meade (the rich area) was using around 22,000 kwh a month.
Of course being a lying liberal he spinned it away with BS.
“Why do I need electricity. I can watch TV by candle light.”
I once got into a “discussion” on AGW at a friend’s house years ago. He probably had 15 TV’s in the house. Five in his exercise room (in front of each piece of equipment). Two in the kitchen (one for the table, one for the sink), a huge large screen in the rec. room. Large one in the den, all the bedrooms, office, etc.
Oh - and his home theater room with the leather recliners and couches.
But - he DID drive a Prius.
This does not surprise me at all. Thanks for posting it.
Get this. Yesterday, I was parked next to a big Audi sedan in the supermarket parking lot. The vanity license plate read.....AL GORE. Can’t make this stuff up.
