PRAGUE (AP) The Czech Defense Ministry has signed a deal to deliver 14 military airplanes to the United States in an $11 million deal.
According to the deal signed Monday, Czech plane maker Aero Vodochody will take the subsonic L-159 military planes back from the Czech military and will resell them to Draken International Inc., a U.S. company that cooperates with the U.S. army.

Because some lobbyist was paid to use his influence to get them bought. The government is even buying planes and sending them directly to the Boneyard from another article I saw.
Insanity
Because to make them here, someone has to be employed.
This would be a violation of the Islamic Plant’s paradigm.
Because somebody’s daddy got rich doing it, now it’s their turn?
HORRIBLE!!!!!
We have been doing this for years-—on the idea of keeping them out of the hands of rouge nations and terrorists hands. The L-159 is a very simple aircraft and very forgiving for a novice pilot to learn on.
Makes a good drone...................
We buy crap from some other nation?
Don’t we make our Shiite...???
thnx
Given Obama’s standing in the world, I’m amazed there are any allies left that are willing to sell arms to the USA.
Buy American only!!!
Because "WE" aren't buying them.
They are being bought by a private company that provides services to militaries around the world, including ours.
They provide 'adversary' flights using low-time foreign built aircraft, allowing our pilots to to be better utilized, and keeping hours off life-limited airframes we can't afford to replace.
Another company providing similar services is L-3 Flight International in Newport News using older Lears and similar business class aircraft.
I have flown with them on an offshore Navy radar acquisition flight...pretty neat operation.
thank you for info.
