So can anybody explain why soccer players wear those knee high socks? I just think it's very off-putting. Is it still 1977 in the soccer world? Everybody these days wears those just over the shoe or no-show socks, if they wear socks at all.

Argentina put up a great game. They continuously frustrated the German machine and kept them on their heels. If they had taken them to a shootout, I think they might have prevailed.
