“The Lone Ranger” — 1949 to 1957. I was born in ‘51 — I remember Captain Kangaroo, I Love Lucy, and The Lone Ranger from about age 4 on. Those were the days. Of course, being 4 years old with not a care in the world is a great time no matter what. Your 60 years of constant School, College, and Work haven’t yet started.

Yep. Me too. However, I am saddened by how the legacy of the old LR was belittled, ridiculed and demeaned in the recent movie.

While very funny, he (LR) was nothing but a comic foil to Depp’s fake Indian performance - along with the horse.

In effect, anything remaining of the legacy was trampled by the magical prescience and abilities of Trigger, or the mystical shaman Tonto. Still, a good movie to watch.

I see the mask is not for sale. That would be a cool thing to have.

several episodes of the “Lone Ranger” come on every day tho I don’t recall which channel.

It is quite a bit better than most of the half hour westerns of the day, and they were all watchable.

Clayton Moore spent many years in the Twin Cities. He had a real estate company - Ranger Reality

Loved to dress up as the Ranger to entertain the neighborhood kids.

Obama: It’s Lonely Doing All The Work

BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff July 10, 2014 3:17 pm

Obama complained Thursday that he’s “lonely” doing all the work in Washington by himself, without Congress.

“You know it is lonely, me just doing stuff. I’d love it if the Republicans did stuff too,” he said during his speech in Austin, Texas.

The two Colts in the picture are not the original colts he used in the movies, both of those are sitting in a display in our office here in West TX along with the original Mask. My business partner had also won the bid on the holsters but it was refused by the owner and created quite a stink. We came back from that auction with several old Colts and Winchesters. This was 12 to 14 years ago. Something don’t smell right folks.

At a very young age, I got to meet Clayton Moore, chatted only for a minute or so, one of the questions I asked was whether his guns were real, (yeah dumb kid question I know)

I met Mr. Moore at a strip shopping mall grand opening. I went thinking that there would be hundreds in line.

There were thousands in line. Four nearby malls as well as the one he was in were jam packed full of cars. We waited three hours in line before we shook hands with him.

Nice guy, a real credit to the character he played. Everyone he met had his full attention.

"His outfit included a powder-blue shirt and pants, red kerchief, Stetson hat, boots, a gun belt and Colt pistols." The mask, I want the mask! Hanging on the wall.
