However, the advantage of fighting on the ground is only the case in Judea and Samaria; in Gaza, Israel will find it vey difficult to act effectively on the ground for the following reasons:
1. Population size and density, especially in urban areas such as Gaza City, Khan Yunis, Rafiah and the refugee camps make it necessary for Israel to introduce large infantry forces to a considerable number of points.
2. A tank has no advantages in urban areas as it has limited maneuverability, cannot aim at upper floors and is a slow-moving, easily hit target for antitank weapons, such as RPGs and rockets.
3. An armored jeep is also an easy target for antitank weaponry in a built up area.
4. Soldiers making their way on foot in built up areas are sitting ducks for snipers. Hamas has laid mines, built tunnels underneath the houses, fortified sniper positions in strategically placed buildings.
5. Eliminating Hamas military and civilian infrastructure requires a large Israeli presence over a lengthy period of time, enabling Hamas to attack command posts and headquarters (that is what occurred in Tyre).
6.Total elimination of Hamas will not prevent its resurgence as soon as our soldiers leave.
These points lead to the conclusion that sending land forces deep into Gaza will cost many lives without much to show for it. The subsequent retreat will be presented as a victory for Hamas.

Who needs to invade. Just bomb the $hit out of them!
Take out the Southern strip of land where the tunnels are instead, which will prevent resupply of materials such as missiles. Dig it to the level of the Mediterranean the moat that would be created will threaten future tunnels with seawater influx.
That’s exactly what Israel is doing ... bombing Hamas while warning Palestinian civilians just prior to the attack in their local area.
That is waste of bombs.
This is a situation where “collateral damage” is a plus. The Palis hate Jews to the point that they kill themselves trying to murder them. Might as well send them on their way without a risk to Israelis.
That’s not what Israel does to the Palestinian civilian population. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not stupid enough to give Hamas a public relations BONANZA ... :-) ...
This is a very long-standing view that Israel has in protecting civilians and kids ...

We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.
i.e. if the Israeli’s go into Gaza the same thing will happen to them as what happened to the US when we went into Iraq and Afghanistan.
Tactics used in the conquest of Fallujah would be most effective in Gaza. For example, tanks are preceded by armored bulldozers which create new roads, through buildings and other obstacles, denying Hamas the opportunity to place IED’s. Israeli commandos are experts in house to house fighting, and have developed unique and creative ways to enter buildings. They can use chainsaws to traverse through one building into the next in built up areas, by simply creating doors where none exist. Once an area has been cleared, completely level it with bulldozers to create killing zones which Israeli outposts and air power will have no problem keeping vermin free. If they wish to hole up in bunkers and tunnels, bury them alive with bulldozers. If resistance is encountered from a particular building, call in overwhelming air power to clear the building. Then bulldoze it.
Superior firepower always wins the day, if used creatively.
Embargo the Gaza Strip. Start squeezing the Border to the Med Sea. Make the population move into Lebanon and Syria! Clear the land of all population. Annihilate all Terrorist with the sweep that can be found! Reestablish new border on Lebanon
Crossing!
From everything I’ve read and what I know about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, you won’t see that happening.
Israel already embargoes Gaza and have for quite a while. What Israel doesn’t do is commit WAR CRIMES against the Palestinian civilian population. It’s a very long-standing practice of Israel to do everything they can to warn Palestinian civilians and avoid as much collateral damage as they can, while hitting the terrorists very hard!
It would be fine with me if Israel made Gaza look like Berlin in May 1945. I would say Hiroshima in Aug 1945, but too many Israelis would die of radiation sickness. :-)
Israel is the largest producer of drones in the world. Even some of our designs come from them. I suspect they have a continuous drone presence over potential launch sites. Israel also designed the automated fire system that protected US bases in Iraq from mortars. A radar system tracked back to the launch point and aromatically targeted retaliation. (The other side went to delayed launching and probably remote launching.) But drones would spot them laying the launchers and allow instant retaliation.
Israel is much more effective now than in the past. I think this will be an entirely new type of war; Obama’s drone war but on steroids. I also suspect any hit on Iran will be almost entirely done by drones. This war will be as different from the present as World War II was from World War I.
Give them all one-way airfare to Saudi Arabia.
That’s not what Israel or Prime Minister Netanyahu do. In fact, Netanyahu is ADAMANTLY AGAINST TERRORISM, whether it’s something from the Israeli side or Hamas’ side. He just spoke out strongly against that, a few days ago! Netanyahu will hit Hamas hard, but not with collateral damage to Palestinian civilians that he can avoid.

Well, from everything that I’ve read and from what I know of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, there will be no mass deportations to third countries ... not even mentioning the fact that no third parties want them ... :-) ...
As much as I’d like to see Israel take out Hamas going into Gaza would be like the U.S. going into Fallujah. I hope you remember what our men and women looked like after that. Very costly. It would be a long protracted operation that favors their enemies. The civilian population would not “feel liberated” and could never be trusted. I hope they think long and hard about it. Israel has a conscience and tries not to kill indiscriminately. World opinion would mount to crushing proportions as it has in the past with all the lies and hatred. Our own press would love it as it would help them to draw attention away from Obi’s messes. I’m not saying don’t go there just be sure she has counted the cost as it looks like it would be huge. The rebuilding of the Caliphate is a bad sign. Israel is surrounded by her enemies and the Time of Jacob’s Troubles seems about to begin in earnest. Prayers for that nation and that the vale may be lifted from their eyes concerning their Messiah. The suffering that lies ahead for the Jews and their land can’t even be imagined. They are blessed with a great leader in Bibbi. How I wish he were our president!
Yes, indeed ... Israel is blessed with a great leader - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He’s smart enough to not be sucked into a terrorist trap!
