Ten years? Big deal. Obama will pardon him in 2016.
I’m waiting for the trials of Bath House, Holder, Cankles, and Reid.

The bigger deal is that Blacks are not rioting over a crook being sentenced to prison time - even if he’s a politician.
That cracks the bubble Obama thought would make him untouchable. If Blacks know/find out that he is a crook, there will be no reason to fear riots from them.

Yet another left-wing Democrat moron sentenced to the slammer. I’m just shocked, I tell you!! </sarc>

And I just want to add that the Black pastor in Mississippi who told about the bribe money for Cochran votes illustrates that being sucker-punched does NOT go over well once it’s realized what happened. The Cochran people thought this pastor would keep quiet rather than let the world know he accepted bribes. Seems like they misunderstood where these people were coming from... You rob from THEM and all bets are off.

That's why I said "
state and local juntas."
The people that blame Bush for slow response don't understand how FEMA works. The feds aren't supposed to take over disaster relief. They are supposed to support and fund relief efforts by state and local officials.
Have the governor curl up into a sniveling ball of goo and the mayor bury his nose in a pile of coke wasn't part of the FEMA contingency.

Yep. Bush tried to get them to take the federal help.
Of course, Bush was blamed for everything later - including the things that would not have happened if only Blanco and Nagin would have taken fed. assistance.
But, then, we would not have had "Looter Guy".

If he was convicted in a federal court, that means Obama could pardon him. He might, because by screwing up the handling of Katrina, Nagin made Bush look bad,, which helped pave the way for Obama's election.
On the other hand, Obama doesn't care about anyone but himself so he may ignore any plea for a pardon.

Amazingly, if you go to CNN and search on “Nagin”, the first story that comes up is from February 13, 2014.
