MSNBC panelists on Monday seemed puzzled by the president’s refusal to visit the U.S.-Mexico border while he fundraises in Texas, with USA Today reporter Susan Page calling the decision Mr. Obama's “Katrina moment.”
Appearing on “The Daily Rundown,” Carolyn Ryan of The New York Times argued that the crisis on the border, in which thousands of immigrants are crossing illegally in record numbers, goes to question the president’s competence.
“You can see that 30-second TV ad,” host Chuck Todd added, The Washington Free Beacon reported. “You start with the health care rollout. You go to the VA. You go to Syria. You go to Iraq. And you can go to the border. And you can draw a straight line.”
“This is unacceptable to more than Republicans on immigration, the situation we have there,” Ms. Page said. “And boy, is that going to anger some of his core constituents who have wanted him to do more on immigration, not less. … I think this is kind of a lose-lose for him, politically speaking.”(continued)

The Katrina moment was a smear campaign orchestrated by the MSM to trash Bush.
The border crisis is an attempt by the marxists-in-chief to have the hordes of poor people overwhelm our country.
He thought he was creating a border crisis to gin up public opinion and force the republicans to accept his "comprehensive" amnesty program.
This fool may have just torched the country. Or maybe that was the plan all along.
Katrina was an act of nature. This invasion is an act of Obama.

His entire Presidency has been a string of Katrina Moments, reeking of self destructive incompetence.
This is far beyond Katrina.
Hussein’s (or should we call him “Who’s son?”)—His Katrina moment was the Gulf Oil Spill. His incompetence was painfully evident, along with his contempt for the people affected.

Always a good idea to defer to the “experts”.
He is looking forward to his 72 virgins, and not a free and strong United States of America.
Of course it’s been organized. Lap lap lap—by USA Today, AP, New York Times. Katrina was a hurricane, not an organized invasion. WSJ doing contortionist routines to avoid condemning this. Maybe they think it will help rich businesspeople eventually.
That’s a better comparison than Katrina. Those Cubans enriched our nation, however, even if there were prisoners and mental patients among them.
