Called Grand Prairie, TX, local govt. about their decision to house 2000 illegal immigrants, and I talked to the secretary Lydia and she said that the Fed govt. ordered that Grand Prairie ISD take them in, and then I asked her why doesn't Grand Prairie invoke the 10th amendment and she hung up on me.
I called many more times and got the runaround and finally talked to Grand Prairie city Manager Tom Hart, and asked him him his political affiliation and then he hung up on me.
This is what we are paying them for???
.
It's not setting up claymores along the border, but my suggestions go unheeded.
I'd settle for a contract for a bunch of trebouchets.

Texas ping to Texas anger over immigration!
I did ping my Texas List, but it’s probably different from this other one. :)

Clay Jenkins now says immigration protesters will not be tolerated.
These facilities for housing the invaders are for a term of at least ONE YEAR. The fedgov has no intention of sending them home.
Message from Mayor Ron Jensen Posted Date: 7/7/2014
"As you may know by now, Dallas County and the Grand Prairie Independent School District have offered the old Lamar Alternative Center for consideration as a temporary shelter for some of the unaccompanied children that have crossed the border into Texas. As mayor, I did not volunteer our city as a shelter location, but the city of Grand Prairie will handle it in a professional and caring manner.
If the school is used, it will be a temporary situation. The contract to use Lamar would be for 120 days with the possibility of two 120-day extensions. The children would only be there a short time as they are processed in and out.
The citys role is to make sure Grand Prairie citizens are safe and that this humanitarian effort is not a cost to our city. The federal government will absorb all costs and handle all operational issues such as food, security and medical. The security will ensure that the children stay onsite at all times.
The city of Grand Prairie is not taking a position on federal immigration. This is a federal issue that needs to be taken care of in Washington.
As always, Grand Prairie citizens will remain a priority when it comes to city services. The federal government has produced a Frequently Asked Questions page with further information.
Clay don't get to make that call.

If they are there for one year the community will have to educate them.
Nice,huh?
.
That adds up to 360 days... a year
and where does the federal government get its money?
BZZZZT. Lots of other cities have, becoming sanctuary cities.
Ron may not be in office very long.

It’s that idiot Dallas County Judge and 0bama butt boy Clay Jenkins that’s doing this. Organize some people and protest outside his office. Hound him like the dog he is!
I have no idea whether that's true or not, but that information should be spread to any contacts you might have in South Dallas.
I know I have.

Maybe Jenkins needs to be reminded that the Supremes just ruled that public sidewalks are PUBLIC and an OK place to gather!

I'm trying to get some preachers in those communities to spread the word.
