Absolutely I agree with you, but unfortunately these Milton Wolf propaganda threads keep popping up and distracting conservatives, so I have to refute them. I wish they’d spend 1/10th of the energy on attacking real RINOs as they do promoting this phony “conservative fighter” Wolf.
Career DC insider and full-time resident of Virginia.
Ran for U.S. Senator from "Wyoming" and was hypocritically supported by the SAME crowd (RedState.com, Mark Levin, etc.) that is now bashing Roberts' residency.
I agree with you. Or were you trying to refute my point somehow?
Kind of appropriate.
In the political satire, The Wizard of OZ, the Emerald City was Washington DC...green representing paper money.
The Wizard was any president.
The Wicked Witch of the East was the industrial revolution, it turned men into machines (tinman, factory worker)
The Wicked Witch of the West was the drought. (killed by pouring water on her)
The scarecrow represented the Midwestern farmers who didn't think they were smart enough to have a voice in Washington.
The munchkins were the little guy.
The yellow brick road was bricks of gold, and OZ is the abbreviation of ounce, the story refers to the elimination of the gold standard.
The "poppies" were the popular issues of the day. They put people in a daze and kept them from seeing what was really going on (much like Hollywood, reality TV and sporting events.)
The Cowardly Lion was William Jennings Bryan.
You agree that most Milton Wolf supporters had no problem supporting a DC insider living in another state when Liz Cheney ran?
I agree that there is too much corruption in Washington DC, and spending 2/3 of one’s life in Washington DC is reason enough to retire a politician, no matter what party he or she belongs to. I also believe that Roberts is the poster boy for why the Seventeenth Amendment to the United States Constitution was such a terrible idea.
The 17th amendment has nothing to do with term limits, and states that are safely controlled by one party (e.g. the Massachuttes state legislature or the Idaho state legislature) would have no problem appointing a party insider to serve as U.S. Senator for life, so I’ll have to disagree with you there.
If the 17th amendment were repealed, a Ted Cruz type would stand zero chance of being selected by the establishment politicians in the state legislature.
That's a nice straw man you've got right there. Who said it did?
Love your straw men. Just because our broken system managed to miraculously produce a terrific politician like Cruz doesn't mean it's not worthy of serious criticism. We managed, despite the system, to get a Cruz, but we're also stuck with the likes of worthless troglodytes like Roberts, Cochran, McCain, Graham, etc., who do nothing for their home states, but yet manage to enrich themselves and their pals in power.
You're all over the map with your attempts at logical thinking and argumentation there, kemosabe.
